Chapter 30: Learning

While Lizzie and I made our way back to the central area of the town, we both got caught up with each other's experiences since the last time we saw each other. She also answered my question about how her and her people were remaining in the otherworld with me, she explained the use of transporting between realms through mirrors, which I had completely forgot about in that moment.

At the same time I was also telling Pyramid about what was going on, who she is and why I am being let go. As expected, he is still very pissed off about what happened.

Even though he is pissed about it, he is also very relieved that I have been left unharmed and being returned to him.

After walking for what felt like forever, we arrive at the spot we all agreed on meeting at, a police station.

Looking at the building, I grow curious about what it looks like on the inside.

"Where is he?" Lizzie asks, looking up and down the road called Sagan street.

"I'm not sure..."

A loud crash comes from the inside of the police station, grabbing both of our attention. We both draw out our guns and point them at the open doorway, waiting for something to run out at us. A loud high pitched screech of metal reaches our ears from the same location.

'Don't you dare shoot me, Hecate.' I hear Pyramid's voice nearly growl in my head before the familiar silhouette of a figure comes into view from within the darkness of the building.

Lowering my gun, a large smile appears on my lips as I watch him avoid the top of the doorway as he steps out of it. Lizzie quickly lowers her gun as well, we both put them away.

In an instant, I take off running at him, wrapping my arms around his waist tightly while nearly sobbing in happiness, "...I would never shoot you."

Not feeling any reaction to my hug from Pyramid, move my attention to look up at the underside of his helmet which is facing straight ahead of him, his sharp senses locked entirely on Lizzie.

"Heh heh...hi again, sir..." She greeted him nervously with a wave of her fingers, beginning to sweat.

Pyramid continues to stare at her, the amount of pure hostility radiating from him similar to an intense fire. His hand is felt behind my head, gently pushing me along until I find myself behind him, standing beside the deadly weapon he is carrying again.

Moving a hand to his forearm, my strong voice reaches him, "Be nice to her, she won't hurt me again-."

'Silence.' He suddenly demanded, his voice low and hostile.

"Uh...I'm sorry I took her from you, we made a mistake. I never realized who she was until later...I'm sorry for killing you...and breaking your neck..." Lizzie apologized to him. Without warning, he began to slowly approach her, the loud dragging of his knife making her grow very fearful and nervous as she backs away.

"Pyramid, stop!"

For the first time in a long time, he does not obey my demand, continuing to approach her.

Taking off, I run over to them and stop directly in front of him, giving him no choice but to stop. Coming to a stop, he moves his helmet down at me. His grip was felt on my shoulder just before he roughly shoved me out of his way, knocking me onto the ground.
