"Speaking aloud"
'Speaking telepathically'
Subconscious thoughts, deep in the mind and cannot be heard by others at all.Chapter 3: Fighting the Beasts
The giant creature entered the room, dragging his blade behind him.
"Hello..." Hecate hesitantly spoke to him.
He does not respond, remaining silent aside from the constant sound of breathing traveling through his helmet.
Looking over at the young girl, Hecate whispers as if thinking the creature cannot hear her, "...Is he able to speak...?"
"Yes, but he prefers to not engage in conversation." The entity whispers back. Although it knows he can hear, it is only humoring the girl.
Nodding, Hecate understands as her eyes lock onto the huge, facinating creature once again. She admires his features, still feeling very uneasy, yet safe around him. The fact that she is able to be so close to such a dangerous creature interests her the most. A creature that originated from this place, created from whatever had occurred here.
Once again, she begins to wonder how a place like this exists. Her friends had filled her in on the idea that a witch was burned alive, a witch full of so much evil that once it had died, the land became cursed.
None of them believed the legend to be true, now look what happened. Everyone is dead, and she could fall victim to any kind of monster with ease.
Zoned out, Hecate quickly comes to realize she had been staring at the creature who has yet to move a muscle.
"Oh!!" She suddenly blurts out, remembering the food as she grabs his plate off the table and presents it to him, thankful the plates and food came through to the Otherworld with them. She watches him, face red with blush as she watches.
Would he not know what it is? Surely he knows food... She thinks to herself.
The Executioner then turns to face the entity, as if wanting its opinion on this situation.
'Take it, she will be happy.' It informs him.
'What does she desire me do with it?'
'What do you think? It is food, so eat it!' The entity's aggressive voice yells into his mind. Obeying, he then takes the plate and moves into a separate room, out of sight. This is so he doesn't disturb or startle the human with the process of how he eats.
Hecate watches the creature leave before turning around to face the girl, satisfied that he took her offering. Hecate widens her eyes to discover that the girl is now nowhere to be found.
She must have left... She thinks to herself, trying her best to not scare herself further, knowing very well that the girl didn't just up and walk out.
Looking around, the then spots the giant weapon of his, the Great Knife. She approaches it, looking it over as it stands where the creature had been before he left the room, stabbed into the floor standing.
God, this thing is massive, how on Earth can he possibly carry that? No wonder he drags it...he looks strong, but even this thing proves to be a challenge for him. Why does he carry it around with him? Why not carry something lighter?
Looking over it a little closer, she observes the fine sharp blade of it. Slowly she glides the index finger of her right hand along the edge of the blade.
