Hey guys!! As you can probably tell, editing is now finished! I decided to merge a number of my chapters together that happened to be too short, and combined my second Part of the story with the first! Grammar has been updated and many More edits were made! Enjoy this new chapter!

And..ahem. I'm super sorry about how detailed I got with the rated M scene below.

Chapter 32: Anguish

Once Liz and I had gotten enough to eat, we ventured out of Pyramid's lair, with his permission of course.

We found ourselves on the first floor of the Sanitarium, ensuring that we remained within the Otherworld. We found mutual interest in the closest sunroom; or as it is labeled, Solarium. The entire space was mostly destroyed, but thankfully the glass remained intact. While Pyramid focused his effort on clearing out the bodies that remained sprawled throughout the basement's hallway, a storage room was perfect for him to make use of. Cleaning the hallway was necessary for us to remain hidden within its confinements. Because Lizzie was the one who led the suicide run throughout the basement, Claudia's people remain in the dark about Pyramid's lair and its location.

The blood that had been splattered all over won't be strikingly out of place, as it fits nicely with the rest of the basement's bloody atmosphere.

Working with Liz within the Solarium, we were lucky enough to find brooms and spend our time cleaning up the unique space within the room.

We finally got the last piece of destroyed equipment out of the room, and are currently sweeping up all the dirt and dust covering the floor.

"So, about this Claudia situation...did you ever inform her about discovering us in the basement? It's not like Pyramid and I can just up and relocate..." My gaze met hers, hoping she hadn't.

Lizzie laughed, "No. I never did get a chance to follow up on her and I's discussion regarding the subject." She laid her hands on top of one another on the back end of the broom, taking a moment to focus on our conversation.

A sigh of relief escaped my lungs, stopping my progression as well, "Oh, thank god. So, is it true that she had been informed of the 'theory' regarding Pyramid's lair being located within the Sanitarium's basement? Or was that just a theory of yours alone."

She laid her chin upon her hands, shifting her hips to the side, "It had been a theory that originated from me, yes. But the idea had been shared with her previously. The information Kathrine spewed about you to her also hinted toward the possibility. But Kathrine claimed to be unsure regarding her confidence in the concept. Claudia believes the theory about your location being centered within the Sanitarium's basement, but to her there is still no confirmation from my end despite her loaning a handful of her men to me."

My heart became caught in my throat, growing nervous, "...So, she is still awaiting confirmation from you as a result of your suicide run you conducted. What will you tell her...?"

Her lips formed a smile, "We searched the basement, got ganked by a hoard of monsters, lost a few men and proved the theory to be a bust. End of story."

Hearing her words caused a smile to form upon my lips, in a flash my arms were around her neck in a deep affectionate hug, my broom dropping onto the hard floor, "Oh my god, thank you!! I can't thank you enough!"

My hug causes her to laugh, moving a hand to pat my back, "Don't worry about it! We're friends, I'll always have your back."

Pulling away from her, my eyes gleamed with happiness, "Thank you..."
