Chapter 31: Competition
Soon after, Lizzie and I had grown tired. We had a few discussions before bed. I had decided to have Pyramid protect Lizzie for now as well, keeping her safe along with me. Just in case something happened during the night, or while she is with us so he wouldn't just let her die.
Lizzie took the bedroom and I got the couch in the living room, and to my surprise lying on it had been pretty comfortable.
We quickly fell asleep, Pyramid remained awake and alert the entire night. Most nights, he rarely slept anyway due to him hardly ever being tired. I assume this was because he had been created to protect, and sleeping would be a weakness. He does sleep occasionally, but never for very long.
Pyramid spent the entire night in the apartment, watching over both of us and focusing on his senses, making sure we were safe.
Once I had gotten enough sleep, I began to awaken. My eyes open and I slowly sit up, rubbing my eyes. Looking across the room I notice Pyramid leaning against a wall, his arms crossed with his head down, resting.
He comes to his senses quickly once I began to move, raising his head and shifting himself away from the wall.
His action draws a smile from me, "Is Lizzie still asleep?"
'No. She is generating movement within the bedroom.'
His words prompted me to get up off the couch, moving the blanket off my lap to walk over to her room before knocking.
"Lizzie?" My soft voice spoke through the weak, aged wood.
A few seconds pass and she opens the door, sending me a smile, "Whats up?"
"Nothing right now, I was just wondering what you were planning to do today." My hands slowly comb themselves through my long hair.
"I mean, I kind of want to hang out with you guys more if that is okay." She admitted, worry in her voice.
"That's fine." I giggled, smiling.
"Awesome!" She exclaimed, going back into the room and grabbing her belt before putting it on, "Want to go search for some food?" Her gaze returned to mine.
"Sure, I know of a place that has food, hopefully." A nervous laugh followed, unsure as to whether or not the source is still reliable.
"Great!" She chirped, following me back into the living room.
Grabbing my belt as well, I strap it back on. Lizzie grabs her packed bag, putting it on as well.
Moments later we left the apartments, Lizzie keeping the key in case we end up coming back. Pyramid follows us closely while we walk to the sanitarium, I continue to use my telekinesis to help keep his helmet lighter for him.
Lizzie and I talk quietly along the way, talking about random things.
"So, you are technically the queen of Silent Hill now?" She assumed in a joking manner, laughing.
"Nah, while the demon has control over the realms, I wouldn't call myself something like that."
She giggles, "Well, you are queen to me." She smirked, stopping suddenly to kneel down before me.
