Date Night

TO KEEP UP APPEARANCES, CLEO STILL HAD to go train at Cobra Kai every day. Not that she minded much, going to see Tory was always the literal highlight of her day and she absolutely loved karate. She figured it was better this way for now, so she didn't have to see Kreese every waking minute of her life.

"I say we go on a date, I need to get out of the house." She suggested, holding up a punching bag as her girlfriend took a swing at it.

"Okay, what day are you thinking?" Tory was usually up for anything Cleo suggested, which is in large part why they worked in the first place.

"Friday? Friday night dates just sound better." The Harper girl laughed, watching as the blonde kicked the bag with ease.

She was impressed.

"We can't do it Friday, because I work Friday." Tory shrugged her shoulders and set another few punches to the bag as her girlfriend thought of all their options.

"Okay, how about I bring Miguel so I can hang out with him while I wait for you." Cleo suggested, dropping the bag from her hand as she walked over to the girl, snaking her hands around her waist. "Come on, please."

"Okay, okay. Just remember to put on a costume, it's eighteens night." The Nichols girl reminded her.

If the Harper girl was honest, she had never worn a real costume. Sure, there was that one Halloween dance this year, but all she did was wear her gi. The whole costume thing was mainly because Kreese and her dad thought scaring kids on Halloween, instead of dressing up along with them would be a better learning opportunity.

If that didn't describe her childhood, nothing else would.

"What costume are you wearing?" Cleo raised a brow, already intrigued.

She knew the blonde would look beautiful in anything, but the eighties was full of gorgeous people, in the media at least.

"I'm thinking Madonna." Tory lightly shrugged as her arms rested themselves on her girlfriends shoulders. "Could I pull it off?"

"Is that even a question?" Cleo smiled, placing a quick peck on the other girls lips before she backed away. "Now, let's get back to work."

Her real problem was gonna be picking out an outfit.

SIFTING THROUGH HER CLOTHES, CLEO COULDN'T find a costume for the life of her. Maybe it was because she was too stressed to find one, or maybe it was because Johnny's little speech about Kreese not being good for Cobra Kai pissed her off. Not because he was wrong, but because she knew he was right and she never liked to see her family in a bad light.

Even though, that's exactly what they all were, bad.

"Damnit." The Harper girl mumbled to herself before throwing a pile of her clothes on the ground and launching herself onto her bed.
