"Good morning! It's unusual you are up this early" Y/n greeted Ran when he walked past the kitchen to use the bathroom. Ran is up early today, totally not because he was up the entire night thinking of ways to deal with Rindo.

Y/n was in the kitchen to heat up the big pot of leftover porridge, she followed an online recipe and cook according to the portions shown, failing to realize that the serving is for a party of 9! It would be a waste to discard precious food, so they would have to make do with eating this for breakfast and lunch today. 

"What are you making? Smells good" Ran leaned on the kitchen counter after washing up in the bathroom, y/n removed the pot cover to show him the content. Ran walked behind y/n and placed both hands on the counter, trapping her before lowering his head to look into the pot.

"Do you want a bowl? I taste test it beforehand!" y/n tilted her head up to look at Ran and he flashed her his signature lazy grin, "Yes please wifey~". Y/n was used to Ran using endearment to address her but this was something new and a lot more intimate than anything he tried. Not knowing how to react to this, she frown and elbowed his ribcage.

"I will get you a bowl. In the meantime go wake Rindo up too" hearing his brother's name made him roll his eyes. He is extremely protective and loves Rindo a lot but he would not let what happened slide just because they are family, in fact, if Rindo regarded him as family, he wouldn't have attempted to kiss y/n knowing how much he adored the girl.

"OW! Srsly, Ran?" Rindo jolts awake when he felt a strong force puncturing his abdomen, he opens his eyes to see his brother towering over him. Ran kicked him.

After lunch, the trio was on the couch watching daytime television. For the first time, none of them had any plans and could afford to lounge around doing nothing. Ran made sure y/n sat in the corner so that Rindo could not sit beside her. Of course, Rindo was aware of what his brother was trying to do but chose not to bring it up since the girl is present.

"Oh! Right, I got something for the both of you!" you stood in front of the couch and held up a brown shopping bag, you then placed the shopping bag on the kotatsu and held out the gift you bought.

"TA DAH!" You were holding onto 2 sets of matching pajamas, one of them is grey with multiple mini cartoon orchids and the other is the same but with bellflowers. You passed them the respective pajamas and usher the brothers to try them on to see if they will fit.

Both of them were just staring in disbelief, well, Ran would have loved the idea of matching with his younger brother if not for the anger he has right now. Rindo is just being himself, he is not a fan of cheesy stuff like that, maybe he would have been fine if it was with y/n, but his brother? Hell no.

"Aww come on... just try it on so I can still exchange if it doesn't fit." y/n whined, her lips almost forming a pout. Both brothers sighed in unison and started changing into the pajamas that she bought. No matter how reluctant they were, they did not want to upset her. Not only did she buy a gift, but she also ditched her friends to care for them. And she is not like any other girl out there, she's the girl they love.
