Hi, so I've received a comment asking some questions regarding y/n's past and I've decided to answer them here. TLDR: This wouldn't affect the future plot, it's Shinya's POV for the past 10 years. BUT DO SCROLL DOWN TO the subtitle 22nd February and read that portion. I think that part might be a little important!
When I wrote the chapters after the incident, I've actually thought up how they spent the 12 years and also Shinya's motive and behaviors in order to fill in the gaps. Initially, I was debating whether I should write about it in this fanfic because I thought nobody would be interested in their past since Shinya is such an asshole and I assumed it might be too draggy/get in the way of y/n and the Haitani brothers relationship development. But I'm really glad someone asked the questions so I get the chance to explain them!

Shinya's POV
2 months after y/n got out of the cage
You adjusted your black Montsuki and took your seat beside y/n on the tatami mat right in front of your appointed short-legged table chabudai (traditional Japanese food tray). There were fish, red rice, meat, and a bottle of sake at the side. Y/n was dressed in a white Shiro-muku, a white veil tower above her head.
You turn to look at her face as excitement filled your heart. The day you've been waiting for is finally here. Both of you are finally getting married. Her face was pale, she held a straight face. She locked her gaze down at the chabudai, refusing to look up at you or anyone. It's fine, you have got your entire life to change her feelings towards you. One day, she'll understand your feelings for her and run into your loving embrace!! She will, now that those bastard brothers are out of her life. There will no longer be any disturbance.
You entertained the guests at the wedding ceremony. It was a private wedding, only the executives and y/n's father was present in the room. Y/n remained silent the entire time, just like an obedient doll. Both of you drank 9 glasses of sake and exchange your rings. You're officially married.
She left the room shortly after stamping the marriage documents, while you remained in the room to entertain the guest and drank till dawn.
