Chapter 11

The fierce battle of the Light Mage and the Dark General continued on in the skies above the barrier. The two of them fought each other with spells. The army down below stopped fighting to watch one of the most spectacular magic duels in history.

Once entering the final phase of the eclipse, its power was thus the most intense, Gregers exhaustion was beginning to show.

"Oh, poor you, your majesty seems to be exhausted. Why so stubborn? You should surrender; make things easier."
Felix sneered, but Gregers didn't respond.

"Huh, let's see who gets the last laugh !"

"Then, in the name of the King of Theocor, I wish you all the best!!!"

Upon that, Felix cast a dark curse. He drew the enormous power of the eclipse and concentrated it on himself before releasing the killing spell

"Bless Theocor! And I curse destruction upon Oceania!!!!!!l

Gregers also gathered his power to fight.
The two of them clashed, with no one seeming to give in. People around them couldn't get anywhere near them with those power.
Lucas being hit by a battle was knocked over as he was sent to the ground. Axel rushed in to help him.

"My friend !! Are you alright!?"
"Yeah .. I'm fine! But it hurts so bad, AHHHH!"
Lucas cried out in pain, and Axel immediately used the healing potion.

"You've done your best. Take a break now, buddy. My Father and I will try and find a way to save the Emperor."
After taking Lucas to safety, Axel consulted Nicolai.

"Father! How do we find a way to save the emperor?"
"Yes, We'll do it, but not right now! This magic duel was a personal matter. Give him some time, G is strong!"
Nicolai forbade Axel, even though he himself wanted to help him the most. But he chose to trust his comrade.

In the sky, the eclipse was about to edge away, but Gregers was losing his strength.

"Damn it ... This is not good .... I can't resist it any longer.. At this rate, I'll lose ... What should I do..?"
But he was too tired, having no strength to come up with anything.


".... There's only one way left... There's no other choice .. Nicky .. Forgive me ..."

Decision made, he cast a spell to unlock the ultimate form. That meant allowing the five magic amulets to take full control over him.


"Ah.. what!? How is that possible!?"

Felix was shocked, seeing the other's body transformed into pure white form and a white dragon appeared, holding Gregers.

In a split second, Gregers unleashed its full power. His enemy's body was bathed in a powerful white light until he disappeared.
Moreover, the remaining dark army was completely destroyed by that light.



"!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Gregers' screams echoed through the sky. Nicolai immediately knew what was going on.

"WHAT !? OH No !! Did he let that amulet possess him to unlock the ultimate power!? If we don't stop him, everything here will be destroyed!!"

When Aleksi arrived with Immanuel and Sakarias, he could hardly believe his eyes.

"Oh my god!! Greg can't control himself anymore!!! We definitely won't survive this!!"


As everyone looked terrified, Axel felt a need to do something. So he hurried to consult with Lucas.
"Buddy! Remember what your father used to say all 5 amulets have the highest power when put together, right? What if we can separate those amulets!? Will this weaken the power so your father can regain control!?"

"What !? Are you crazy !? No one can go near a Magician of Light in the ultimate form!! You're going to throw your own life away!!"

"But what if we use the three magic weapons to help? Or do you have a better option!?"

Hearing that, Lucas quickly thought to come up with a solution. He found that there was only one way out of this.

"... My friend, I don't want to say this, but you're right.. There is only one way to stop my father!"

When they made their decision, they went to Immanuel and told them all about their plans.
"What the ... !? You guys weren't kidding me right?! If you make a mistake, it's a mass suicide!!"

"If you don't do it, you're going to be killed by my father anyway! Do you trust me!?"
Upon that, Immanuel did not hesitate to cooperate. The three immediately flew towards Gregers.

"Kids!! What are you thinking!?"
Aleksi ran after him, but Nicolai stopped him.

"No, Don't go, Aleksi! We have to trust the boys!"

Gregers saw the trio immediately shouted out.
"LUCAS!!! STAY AWAY !!! I CAN'T CONTROL IT ANYMORE ARHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

When unable to control one's own body, he began to unleash his power about in random. The surrounding ground was destroyed into a large hole.

"Now! Shield spell!!"
Axel yelled at Lucas to conjure a shield around them. Even if it was just an ordinary spell, but once combined with Anton's magic wand, it miraculously defended against attacks.

"Okay! Now it's your turn and mine! When you're ready to shoot, tell me!!"
Axel turned around and told Immanuel to aim the magic bow at their target.

"Lock the target! Ready, friend!!"

Immanuel fired a magic arrow, and Axel swung his sword until a whirlwind is generated to block Gregers's sight.

Despite being only a one-in-a-million chance, Immanuel's arrow was perfectly targeted. It was knocked out by the blue magic crystal.
Coinciding with the passing eclipse, Gregers returned to his original form before falling to the ground.

"G!!!"
Nicolai shouted, summoning a gust of wind to secure Gregers' body to the ground.
The two kings rushed to see his friend's condition in an instance.

"Comrade!! Wake up!!!! Please, You can't die like this !! Wake up!!!!!"
Aleksi shouted, with tears flowing uncontrollably.

Gregers groaned before slowly opening his eyes.
"Aleksi .. Nicky ... Am I dead yet?"

"It's too early for you, G!! We did it, comrades! We have won!"
Nicolai said with joy.

"Just now, I couldn't control myself anymore. Then what happened? How did you guys stop me?"
Gregers asked curiously.

"The kids helped out. Well, here they come!"
Nicolai pointed to the three companions who had just landed.

"Father!! Forgive me!! The three of us worked together until we were able to separate one of the amulets ... We'd like to bring it back to you."
Lucas said as he handed the magic crystal back to Gregers.

"You kids did that? Excellent! It's me who has to apologize to everyone.. You understand now, right Lucas? Why I don't want to use it again?"
Gregers apologized to everyone many times then he put the crystal back on his wrist.

"Your Highness is not the one who is wrong! I knew it had to be done, to deal with the dark faction."
Axel said.

"Thank you, Axel ..... Phew! I guess It's time for me to retire from being a Magician of Light.. I'll have to think about what to do with these amulets.."
Gregers said with a sad expression. He looked at the magic amulet he was wearing.

"Who told you to retire early?! If it's not you, then who can it be!?"
Nicolai joked before everyone burst out laughing.

When the sky shines again, everything is over. The armies of the three kingdoms cheered and embraced each other. The kings and princes, having checked the order of the army has returned to the underground city again

King Sakarias expressed his gratitude to everyone and offered valuable assets in return, but everyone chose to refuse. Instead, it was a celebration of the victory of citizens and soldiers.
But Lucas knew there was one thing that hadn't been done yet. So he consulted with Sakarias on bringing the city back to Earth again.
"I am very pleased. But does the Sorcerer know how to do that?"
"Yes! With a permission, I'm going to summon everyone to gather at the central square of the city!"

Soon, the city square in front of the clock tower was crowded with people.
Lucas got his two comrades in front of the clock.
"Guys, A mage in the temple told me that these three magical weapons were the key to bringing this city back to the world above. I think I already know what to do. Did you see the sculpture on the ground in front of us? I think the creator of this mechanism has clearly explained how it should be done!"

The three of them followed the instruction on the sculpture, with all three standing at the specified position and releasing the power to the clock.

Soon, the armies of the Three Kingdoms noticed a city suddenly emerging from the underground. People were shocked.

When the mechanism ended, the citizens of Zidus saw real sunlight for the first time. After being underground for hundreds of years, the people cheered that they had finally returned to being part of the world once again.

The three friends watched the once-legendary city return to Earth, while Immanuel made a joke.

"You know, If we put this in the report, the professor must have thought that we were going insane, hahaha."

"Actually, I completely forgot! How many days do we have left?"
Lucas asked

"Oh, why would you care, friend? We have all the time in the world for that. But what's more important will we have a time like this again?"
Replied Axel.

"Oh, where is my same old bookworm, Axel? haha ha ha"
