Reverse Gravity

Why can't we live in an eternal sunset?

Why does darkness have to fall?

Oh, I loved life just the way it was

Oh really, don't we all?

But then, oh, it all changes

I find myself drowning in the sky

The sun shines through crashing ocean waves

And then the sunlight dies

Opposites reflect each other

Reality flips upside down

Oh love, why do you do this to me?

You know I can't live in reverse gravity

Why does it feel like we are falling down?

Way, way up into the upside down

You had to do this to me, change despite me

I feel like you planned it all along

Opposites reflect each other

Reality flips upside down

Oh love, why do you do this to me?

You know I can't live in reverse gravity

Times change, and we must change too

That's how the fittest survive

I don't care if you leave me in the dust

It might be the best for both of us

Opposites reflect each other

Reality flips upside down, yet again

Oh love, go ahead and do this to me

I'll learn to live in reverse gravity

Reverse gravity

So, yeah, this is one of the ones I don't know the feelings as much from it but am more reflecting it from other poems and stuff I've read. I've never been in love or rejected, so. . .I still think it isn't awful, though, so I'm still posting it here, just isn't as deep as the others, at least for me, but maybe it'll inspire you somehow.
