Storms of Rage

What if I told you I regret

Those harsh words I said to you

What if I told you I regret

All those hateful words I threw?

Oh, when sky and sea collide

A storm ensues

The clashing of opinions

Ignites that storm of rage inside

I say something I didn't mean

You start throwing a scene

In reverse or either way

We just add bars to our cages

Oh, when sky and sea collide

A storm ensues

The clashing of ideas

Ignites that storm of rage inside

Thunder and slammed doors

Lightning and vengeful words

Rain and echoes of regret

Only say what you're fine with being heard

Oh, when sky and sea collide

A storm ensues

The clashing of souls

Ignites that storm of rage inside

For once, listen to me

(That raging storm)

I know it's too late

(That raging storm)

But I didn't mean it

(That storm of rage inside)

I'm sorry

Oh, when sky and sea collide

Another storm ensues

I'll try not to clash with you

I won't ignite that storm inside

I wrote this one either after a fight with my dad or one of my friends, but either way, it's basically about how emotions can be like a storm, especially when you're a preteen or teen, and that if w learn to control those storms, we'll be better off.
