Look around, open your eyes, see this world that we live in
Listen up, open your ears, here what I have to say
Step out of your bubble, think of others for once
Open your eyes, it's the only way
For every one in the spotlight, so many stand on the side lines
For every one wealthy, so many are poor
For every gluttonous person, so many starve
Is this a world worth fighting for?
Open your eyes, unlock your heart
Yeah things are bad, but we can be the start
To a world that is better, we've just got to try
Listen to me, please, just open your eyes
Step out of the shadows and into the light
Step out of the crowd, and onto the stage
Let yourself be seen, let yourself be heard
No one deserves to be locked in a cage
Open your eyes, unlock your heart
Yeah things are bad, but we can be the start
To a world that is better, we've just got to try
Listen to me, please, just open your eyes
Com'on, stop acting like you don't care
Stop ignoring the chaos everywhere
Yeah the world's gone to heck, but maybe we can save it
High time is the worst time to quit
So, open your eyes, unlock your heart
Yeah things are bad, but we can be the start
To a world that is better, we've just got to try
Listen to me, please, just open your eyes
Listen to me, open your eyes
Let go of spite, let yourself rise
Off of the ground, and into the skies
Don't let it be too much of a surprise
Yeah, open your eyes, unlock your heart
Yeah things are bad, but we can be the start
To a world that is better, we've just got to try
Listen to me, please, just open your eyes
Listen to us, listen up!
We need to open our eyes, unlock our hearts
Yeah things are bad, but we can be the start
To a world that is better, we've just got to try
All of us together now, just open our eyes
Basically, this is to all of the people I've talked to who've said "The world sucks, deal with it!" without doing anything to change it. Consider it a call to action.

The Magic Inside (A Song and Poetry Book)
PoetryI like writing songs and poems, some motivational, some just kinda random, but still meaningful. I hope to someday make the song-structured poems into songs someday, but we'll see. I hope you enjoy or learn something from these!
