Annabeth
Okay, the architecture of this place? Oh my freaking gods! Percy and the others kept rolling their eyes and smirking. Like they knew I'd freak out. The wizards were surpressing smiles, as if they were trying not to laugh.
Was everything in the wizarding world so....architectural? I was amazed at everything! When we got up to the Gryffindor common room, Percy said dumbly, "They should make the-,"
"Big House just like this!" I exclaimed. "Oh gods, don't you think Mother would love a room like this? Or Mr. D? Or any of the gods? This is beautiful!"
Ginny laughed and plopped down on a couch. "This is life here at Hogwarts," she said. "So you're fascinated at our home. What's Olympus like?"
"I can't explain it," Percy said. "Neither can Annabeth. Well, she designed most of it, but still. It's breathtaking up there."
"Whoa whoa whoa, hold up." Jason held up his hands. "You've been to Olympus?"
"For the tenth time, yes he has," Leo grumbled. "I thought we asked this, like, ten times already. Right?" Piper patted him on the back, and he gave her a look.
Percy snorted. "You kidding? We've been there, what, Annabeth, four times?" He held out his hand to count fingers.
Roaming around the common room and admiring most of the things in there, I rattled off, "Lightning bolt, Atlas, Battle of Manhattan, and the second time Hermes lost his caduceus."
"Oh yeah." Percy smiled. "Beat that, Grace."
"Do you two ever stop fighting?" Hazel asked, sitting next to Ginny. "The whole voyage on the Argo: 'Coach, Jason said he's braver than I am!' and, 'Piper, Percy doused me in duck water again!' and of course, we can't forget this one, 'Coach, Jason took my praetor's cape because he said I'm too stupid to be praetor!'"
We laughed. Percy said, "Jason's always saying he's cooler than me. He's so much worser at insults than me."
Jason face-palmed himself. "Yet you question why I call you stupid."
This kid came up to us. "So you're the new kids, eh?" I nodded. "What are you? Half-bloods, pure-bloods, mortal-borns?"
I looked questioningly at Hermione and Ginny. Hermione said, "They're not wizards, Seamus. They're, erm...." she looked puzzled. Or confused, like she wasn't sure if she should say or not.
"We're demigods," Piper said. "One of our parents is a Greek or Roman god, but the other is a muggle."
Seamus's eyes widened. "Oh. Cool. Who's your parent?"
I could see Jason's jaw clench. Piper either didn't see or didn't care. "My mother's Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love. Jason's son of Jupiter, Roman god of the sky. Leo-where's Leo? Leo!"
"Yo!" Leo peaked his head in from the boy's dorms. "Hey, Pipes! What's up, girl? I'm just hanging out with my new best buddy Neville! He's so cool! He's like-kaboom! Cool kid in the Gryffindor house! Hey who's that kid?"
Jason and Percy rolled their eyes at him. "Leo," Piper sighed. "This is Seamus. Seamus, that's Leo, son of the Greek god of forge, Hephaestus."
"Yeah buddy!" Leo pumped his fists in the air. "Festus for Da win!" His nose sparked, and he blushed. "Whoops. Little over excited." Everyone quieted and stared at Leo.
"I'm Annabeth," I said, breaking the silence. "Daughter of Athena, Greek goddess of wisdom and battle strategy. This is Percy, son of the Greek god of the sea, Poseidon. Frank, son of the Roman war god, Ares. And Hazel, daughter of the Roman god of the Underworld, Pluto."
