Collide / [Park Jay]

Although I didn't get the chance to join my desired club, I find broadcasting interesting as I read the learning materials. We also had a brief introduction about our roles, schedules, and such earlier so I decided to choose this for the mean time. Sabi naman ni Sunhee, puwede pa naman daw akong mag-switch sa susunod na quarter as long as magkaroon ng free slots sa ibang club. But we'll see. Baka ma-enjoy ko naman dito eventually.

"In-demand talaga ang Science and Mathematics club so expected ko na rin na first day pa lang ng org day, full slots na 'yon." Sunhee said as we talk about my preferred clubs.

"It's okay. Ako nga nag-Arts club lang kasi nando'n 'yong crush ko. You know, it's not about the club. It's about the people!" Hana laughed.

"Pero bakit kaya nag-broadcasting si Jay? Anong malay niya do'n?" Mariing bulong ni Sunhee kay Hana. Tahimik lang akong nagbabasa ng notes ko pero agad naagaw noon ang atensyon ko.

"Baka trip niya lang." Natawa ulit si Hana. "Oh, speaking.." She said as they both stare at the classroom's door.

Sinundan ko lang ng tingin ang dumating hanggang sa makaupo na siya sa desk niya. Naramdaman ko na lang na tinatapik nila ang balikat ko.

"Nandiyan na siya, oh. Iabot mo na 'yan sa kanya." Sabi nila habang tinuturo ang learning materials sa desk ko.

I looked at them, slightly confused.

"Jay! Kanina ka pa hinihintay ni Yerim." They shouted in chorus.

I immediately looked around to see who they're talking to. And when our gaze met, I was unable to move for a bit. Nagulat lang siguro ako dahil hindi ko inasahan na siya 'yon. But still, I stood up and went to him calmly.

"Park Jay.." Mahinahon kong sinabi habang inilalapag ang learning materials sa desk niya. Tiningnan niya iyon saglit pagkatapos ay tumingin ulit siya sa akin, tila inaabangan kung may sasabihin pa ako.

For some reason, I was unable to say anything. We had few encounters recently but it was all dull and awkward. Kaya parang nahirapan ako na magsalita kahit na may gusto pa akong sabihin.

I just went back to my seat and continue reading my notes. I don't know why I'm suddenly nervous. I guess, I'm just not good at interacting.

"What's with the formality?" Nang-aasar na sabi ni Hana.

"Hindi nga kasi mahilig sa guwapo." Komento naman ni Sunhee. I immediately glared at her because her voice seemed to fill the whole room.

"Baliw ka talaga.." I whispered, trying to hide the embarrassment as I notice Jay glancing our way.
