Leonore was in hospital for two weeks and when she got out, she went to live with the Simon's, they wouldn't let her go back to her mother's. They turned her life around; she went into therapy for her bipolar disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and took medication to help her cope with that. Kathy tutored her to get her grades back up after taking some time off school and helped with her self-worth, getting Leonore to be comfortable with herself. Leonore was still deeply haunted by her past, but she was a lot happier and settled. Her relationship with her family was tense, but never improved, and they just stopped trying with each other. Leonore sends a check once a month to help out, her mother quit drinking as losing Leonore was a wakeup call and even the douchebag Brian cleaned up his act. Though he is still a narcissistic and self-centred asshole. The only huge obstacle was her sexuality, she could never let go of the hate she felt for herself, and she struggled with it until she met that woman. Despite all the hate she felt for her professor, she was grateful to her for making Leonore come to terms with her sexuality.
Leonore was greeted by an indignant meow from her black cat Banshee and picked her up to cuddle her, but she squirmed out of her arms.
"I am sorry baby." Leonore said feeling guilty for leaving her alone. "Kathy will be back tomorrow. I hate it too when she goes away."
Banshee jumped on the servery and gave her a filthy look and meowed with attitude. Leonore got out some red meat out of the fridge and started cutting it up in small pieces for her, she greedily ate it as she was hungry.
"Slow down, Dana is going to kill you if you spew on the carpet again." Leonore said, warning her to slow down.
Dana is their cleaning lady, who came once a week, and she was not impressed with Banshee's talent for vomiting in hidden places on the carpet. Leonore laughed at the memory of Dana's tantrum earlier in the week. Banshee had managed to projectile vomit down the side of the tv cabinet and was left undiscovered for a week, staining the carpet and leaving a smell. The naughty cat just meowed with attitude and demanded affection. She was going through her terrible teenage years and full of attitude, it was like living with a teenage Caro again. Leonore poured herself a glass of Glenfiddich whiskey and headed up the stairs to the bathroom to run a bath. Undressing she stepped into her hot bath and sighed as the water lapped at her skin, slowly sipping her whiskey. Leonore laid there until the water got cold. Wrapping a towel around her body she went to her room and got dressed into a blue shirt and Star Wars boxers. Banshee jumped on the bed and told her to hurry up.
"Shut up." Leonore said to her and was answered with a no.
She laid on the bed and pulled the cat into her as punishment for the attitude, Banshee shook herself before snuggling into her arms. Leonore smiled as she heard the purring and felt the dribble on her hand, she loved the little shit despite her attitude. Despite being exhausted she couldn't sleep, and she laid there in the dark. Being tired she was unable to stop her mind from replaying old memories.
"I'm sorry all the classes are full; you will have to stay in that class." The guy said, looking at Leonore with sympathy.
"Thanks for trying." Leonore answered, annoyance in her voice.
"Anything else I can help you with?" He asked her.
"No, thank you. Have a good day." Leonore answered, getting up and walking out of student services.
Leonore guessed she would just have to put up with that damned woman and suck it up. She was so tired as she only got two hours sleep and she went to get herself a coffee to try keep herself awake for her lecture. She went to a secluded area as Leonore needed a smoke to ease her anxiety, she had given them up as Kathy didn't like her smoking and would be pissed at her for smoking again. Leonore blamed that damned woman as she made her feel things she tried to bury deep inside her. Her sea green eyes flashed in her mind and butterflies erupted in her stomach, making her feel weird. Why did this woman have this effect on her and for her own sanity Leonore pushed it out of her mind, not wanting to think about it? Looking at her watch, she had five minutes to get to her lecture. Leonore put out the smoke with her foot and picked up her butt, going to the nearest bin to toss it. Leonore found Caro and sat next to her.
