Family Day Dissaperance

This chapter was yet another request from the wonderful @tessalucy and my deepest apologies to them for taking so long to write this and to every amazing person reading this for taking so long to update this.

A family day. Yes. You did read that right. Every Avenger and their family together in the Tower. Basically like a family reunion - but with a hint of fancy thanks to Tony.  Hosted in a fancy party room, the whole event is for sure great. No pressure to be your super self and just time to hang out with the people you and others love. This is actually the second get together as last year went so well. So well to the point the ones who frequented the tower reported that family wouldn’t stop talking about it.

Anywho - back to the present moment. Everybody is having fun as expected, eating, chatting, all of the normal as it seems. Just as Clint finishes a very well needed chat with Shuri, something occurs to him. He hasn’t seen Cooper for a little while. Just as it occurs to him, May comes over with similar feelings of what turns out to be a slight feeling of curiosity and a sprinkle of worry.

“Hey there Clint. Been a while. Sorry to rush any conversation here, but have you seen Peter? He’d normally be checking in on me every so often - such a worrywart like that, but it is comforting, you know? Oh anyways, have you seen him?”

“Hey to you too May. I have the same issue - Cooper seems to have gone missing too. Wanna look together?”

“Sure. Hows about we split up to cover more ground?”

“Great idea! You stay here and I’ll go check in a few places that they could get to. You have my number so message me if they return.”

“Ok. See you soon, hopefully.”

With that, Clint was off to search for the two missing kiddos that had a good two adults worried about their whereabouts. Checking room to room, Peter and Cooper weren’t found in any. Common room? Nope. Kitchen area? Not at all. Less used toilets? Not even. Ok, ok. Peter’s room? Ok they might be there. The two do have some common interests - Lego being the biggest one. To Peter’s room it is. Strange. Peter normally latches his door whenever he uses it - at least it will be stealthier for Clint to sneak a peek in. That peak was taken. What had also happened was that Merida had become shocked and a tad overwhelmed leading to him fainting, thus causing a thud just outside of the teen's bedroom. Now don't get him wrong, Clint is far from homophobic (he is actually a proud LGBTQ+ ally and supporter) but what he saw did shock him.  It was only shocking as he thought that Peter and Cooper (or at least his own son) would have felt comfortable enough to come out to him.

With the sound Clint made when falling, Peter and Cooper stopped their cute cuddle and loads of kisses session and rushed to check on the commotion outside of the door. They spot Tony and Bruce helping the arrow weilding Avenger off of the floor. FRIDAY instantly alerted the pair due to a protocol added and all of that.

"Dad! Are you ok? What happened?"

"Cooper, chill. I'm fine. Don't worry Green Giant, Tin Man - I'm back and I'm staying back, thank you." With that, Tony and Bruce gave nods to the three and returned to the get together to continue having fun and let May know where her spider was.

Clint had backed the two kids back into Peter's room, sat them on the bed and took over Peter's wheeled desk chair (only temporarily of course). A minute passed. A very tense and silent minute that stressed Peter and Cooper out to the point a lone tear ran down Cooper's cheek and Peter was trembling. Distant chatter and music came from the families. Shallow, staggered breathing coming from the two young lovers as Clint's breathing remained calm and steady.

"Do you two realise how much you scared me and May? We had no clue where you were for ages. I really am overjoyed that you two are together, safe and all of that but at least tell us if and when you wander off. Maybe even give us a vague idea of a location? I'm sorry for the lecture and scaring you. My mind is racing so fast right now. Wow. I'm sorry - you two are responsible enough to know what you're doing and any potential risks. Another sorry for snooping on the both of you, seeing what you were doing and that as that is my own fault. I cannot apologize to you two enough for also outing you both to me and for me to find out like this."

Relief surged through Cooper and Peter's bodies. Nobody is getting disowned or thrown out. There is no disappointment in anyone. Just acceptance and people that greatly care about them. Talking was such a relief for all of them as Clint gave the obvious 'now you're dating my kid' parent speech, May came in and expressed her relief to both of them and was caught up in what has happened so far - with Peter 's and Cooper's permission obviously. Peter and Cooper officially came out as they both equally felt safe to do so with both parental figures present. All was good and it felt as if a weight was lifted from people's shoulders as pride was shared and things once kept private were brought into the light.

Eventually, the small group decided to go and socialise with everyone again. Fun was had all around at the family's day once again. May, Clint and Laura all bonded over Cooper and Peter - planning a get-together in the near future. Overall, great day and even though it was already set in stone that the same was going to be done next year, everybody made sure to say that it would be simply the best if it happened again the next year.

Hey all. As I said up top, sorry for being gone for a while - I had a job and a partner but thngs happened and I becme really sick because of stress when things whent upside down. My google drive is also messing up (I used to write everything in there then copy and paste it to here as its how I prefered to do things) so I cannot actually save anything on there.
