Ships: Iron Dad and Spider-Son
CW: None, maybe just a brief shouting of a name?

Footprints - perfect. Tony knew what had happened. If only he never had to see the messy footprints trailing across half of the tower. Shame that the one half of the tower was the top half but still. They had to go. How does the kid trail in so much dirt to the point there are more than 15 defined prints? Not only that but how does Spider-Man get more than a small splatter of dirt on him when he is swinging around Queens 89% of the time. It doesn’t matter the time of day, they need to be cleaned ASAP.
“PETER PARKER!” Maybe not the best way of calling him when you're in a tower wired up to the brim with an AI that is able to say anything in any room. The pounding of feet suddenly came to a stop by him. “Care to explain Parker?”
“What's wro- oh my Odin. I am so sorry Mr Stark. I didn't realise that it was that dirty last night. It was all dark and there was a lot of alleyway stuff. I am so so sorry. I should have checked last night but I was just so tired and wanted to just get into bed. I'll go and put my suit to the side for a wash and I will grab the cleaning stuff. I promise I will get this all cleaned up in record time.”
With that, Peter bounded off to go and clean up his mess before Tony could say that it was ok and that he wasn't mad. If anything, he would have offered to help but it seemed that Peter wanted or needed to do this himself because he had felt guilty about making such a mess. As Peter seemed to be on top of the cleaning the ceiling and walls thing, he went to grab the Spider-Man suit to wash it for him to make things easier.
After finishing cleaning the suit, Tony grabbed a coffee on the way to his lab to work on his own suit. An hour or so after sitting down at his desk, in came Peter, all quiet.
“Mr Stark?”
“What's up kid?”
“Do you know where my suit went at all? I put it in my bathroom ready to clean but it's gone.”
“Oh, it's just over there in the corner drying. I thought I would help and clean it up for you as you moped the ceilings and scrubbed the walls.”
“You shouldn't have Mr Stark, I got it dirty. It was all my fault.”
“Peter. It's ok. I wanted to help. Relax. You didn't realise you got dirty. It's not your fault. Come sit and help me with some of these upgrades.”
As Tony got up and gave his kid a hug, Peter obviously relaxed into it and went to help upgrade his mentor's/dad’s suit. Something about the heating system and the power of the flying capabilities malfunctioning occasionally. They found out the issues quite quickly together and were able to upgrade most of the suit too. Overall, they spent a few hours working on any projects they could find and got caught up with some things they needed to do.
“Hey Pete, can you do me a favour please “
“Sure thing Mr Stark. What's up? Do you need me tomorrow to get you a screwdriver? A wrench? Ooohh, what about these chemicals here?”
“No l, no. None of that. Please carefully back away from those chemicals. Remember how you accidentally tripped last time, causing the chemicals to react, exploding. Not only did you break a fair amount of class containers but you managed to leave a massive patch of neon green across the lab for days. It didn't help that it smelt like burnt fruit for weeks.”
“Oh, ok. What's up then? What do you want?”
“Promise me you will check your feet before you go on the walls or ceilings after being outside.”
“Easy. I will even pinky promise you right now Mr Stark.”
“Ok then. Done.”
With that, they locked pinkies and Peter promised to be on his best ceiling walking behaviour.
