*TW: Fantasy gang tendencies*

3rd person pov

"Y/n! Wake up!" A female voice says making the female teenager groan as she was rudely woken up.

"I'm coming! I'm coming! You don't need to yell at me!" The teen huffed and got out of bed. She got dressed in darker clothes so that could sneak around in the shadows if needed. Once she was dressed she walked out of the tent designated for her and walked towards the campfire.

"I'm up you idiots! Now why do I need to be awake at this god forsaken hour?" Y/n asked after telling the time from glancing at the suns position. Her uncle Jeremy pointed to a tent that Y/n was familiar with, since she was to young to go out on the big stealing trips with the gang she was tasked with staying behind and watching the younger kids, so she sighed and nodded. Once she had some food in her stomach she walked to the children's tent while she heard the others leave.

*Later that night*

Y/n suddenly woke up from the nap she accidentally had and saw that luckily all of the kids were asleep and still in the tent. So she quietly put the kids to bed and walked out of the tent before spotting her other uncle Matthew carrying a noblewoman.

"Have you slept at all N/n?" He asked and she nodded as she didn't find any reason to lie to him. He carefully laid the woman down on the bearskin they had for her to drag things around camp since she was still growing.

"Can you watch her tonight?" He asked and Y/n nodded, as the look out night shift was also one of the jobs she could do, before the teen picked the corner to the bearskin up and dragged her to the holding area and closed the door and sat on the barrel outside of the holding area.

*Around midnight*

Y/n was sitting on the barrel in front of the cell watching the noble, who Y/n has concluded to only be a year or two older than her, as she woke up and looked around.

"W-Where am I?" She asked and Y/n stayed quiet.

"Hello?" She asked nervously making Y/n turned her head and saw the older teen looking at her.

"Just shut up and sleep...please...someone else will watch you later" Y/n says crossing her arms and leaning against the tree that was behind her barrel.

"O-Ok" she muttered.

*3 weeks later. They moved camp once but haven't move again*

Y/n was standing in front of her tent, her shift was just about to start, and looked over her shoulder seeing James sitting on the barrel, he was asleep like usual, but this time she couldn't help but feel annoyed as the gang just moved here so nothing was really secure right now.

"You know what? Fine I'll help her out" Y/n muttered to herself as she couldn't help feeling bad for the noblewoman. No one has paid for her release as of yet so either no one missed her or they didn't think she was worth their money. The caged teen looks up as she hears footsteps walking closer to her and smiles widely when she saw the other teen. Y/n had snuck into the storage tent and grabbed some warmer clothes and a small amount of food. Y/n hands the older teen the stuff through the holding cell and opened the door a crack.

"Go" Y/n orders and she nods.

"Thank you! I'll always remember your kindness" she whispers making the h/c haired teen hum and watch as the other teen ran off into the woods. Y/n huffed and walked off towards her tent to act like she woke up for her shift, which was true, and saw James sleeping and the girl missing, which wasn't true, she wasn't worried about getting in trouble since no one liked James anyway.
