Y/N's POV
As the cave violently rumbled and the falling rocks are crashing into the stone ground, Christopher had warned us that this mountain is going to erupt in at least ten minutes or so. We immediately booked it out of the abandoned ruins and run out of the cavern as fast as we can.
The seconds that go by, the walls surrounding us exploded as steam and lava began to spew out, and behind us was a flood of lava heading right towards us.
"We have to pick it up or else the lava will cook us!" Christopher warned everyone and we ran faster.
Finally, we had escaped the caverns but this wasn't over until we reach our ships. We booked it to our ships before the lava wave could consume and burn us alive. Getting to our ships, my squadron and Yeji got on board, Christopher turned on the engines before we take off.
I looked outside the window and see Mt. Underworld erupting along with many spirits of the mythical creatures that were kept in the other world for who knows how long. What in God's name had just happened?
First, the newly declared King of the Mandalorians got possessed by a spirit of some sort, and the next thing a whole population of unknown monsters have been unleashed on our planet. Just as we thought we could catch our breaths for a while.
"Boys... We're in big trouble with the UN this time." Zachary informed us.
"Yeah, no kidding. The President of the UN will have a lot of words to say about this." Christian replied to him.
After that, we landed at the United Nations Assembly Palace located in Washington D.C. ever since the word had gotten out about the whole Mt. Underworld eruption and the monsters being released on our world, an emergency meeting is being held.
We land at the platform and we got off before meeting up with Lady Chou Tzuyu and her brother Chou Sanghoon.
"Glad that you all had made it because this is a very dire situation, right now." Tzuyu had greeted us and we nodded.
"Of course, Lady Tzuyu, but what are we going to do?" My wife had asked and she shrugged.
"I do not know what the UN president has in plan, there's only one way to find out." She answered her and she nodded.
Yeji and Tzuyu ended their conversation before we made our way to the assembly room where every major leader of each country has gathered.
Once everything was all set, the President of the UN came forward before making his speech.
"First off, I would like to apologize for the sudden meeting but this is an emergency! Recently, at about 0234 hours, Mt. Underworld has erupted, now it may not sound like a big deal to all of you as you may just dismiss it as just a natural disaster, but however, an ancient gateway has opened letting many unknown species of monsters to be unleashed to our world, meaning that now vampires aren't the only supernatural species that live with us!" The UN President had informed which caused the leaders and representatives to whisper to each other about the whole situation.
"Not only that, but we also have a new terroristic threat from a radical Mafia organization otherwise known as the "Crimson Dawn". They seek to destroy our very way of life and put the human race as the superior race by wiping out all vampires and monsters that exist!" One of the UN officials had explained to us which surprised me.
After that, the meeting was over and the people were dismissed, many news journalists asked them many questions about the whole thing but they refused to answer them as they have no idea what was really going on.
The whole thing is all but a clusterfuck, right now. We got summoned by the UN President to discuss with us the whole thing. Yep, we're getting reprimanded for this.
When we get inside the main office, the president looked troubled and frustrated. He looked at us before speaking up.
"First off, I would punish all of you! Hell, even break off the alliance between humans and vampires for this but... I cannot afford to do that. You all are the best people I've got for this." He said to us.
"We're very sorry, we never intended to open the gateway." Sanghoon apologized and he sighed.
"It doesn't matter now, right now, we need to deal with Crimson Dawn and the other monsters out there. I'm getting multiple reports from civilians of sightings of mermaids, werewolves, and even giant snake demons!" The UN President replied to him and Christopher brought out his tablet to do some research.
"Well, here's some good news. According to legends, those species of supernatural beings are actually quite peaceful unless disturbed and the mermaids are known to be friendly to people. Perhaps, we can negotiate with them." Christopher suggested and the President seemed to be hesitant about the decision.
"Alright, fine. I see no other better option but if they show any hostile intent, I will not hesitate to send a whole army to exterminate them!" The UN President replied and we nodded.
After that, we were dismissed and we leave his main office. Unfortunately, Chou Sanghoon and Tzuyu had to deal with their own things since they have to make adjustments to their clan and the alliance we have. Thus this leaves this negotiating mission to me and Yeji along with our son Hwang Sunwoo. Of course, Yeji was against the choice to bring Sunwoo along with us but I insisted that he needed to learn more about the outside world.
With her cannot really argue with me, she gave up. When we gave Sunwoo the news, he was excited to see how big the world was. Christopher gave me a distress beacon in case I needed it when something goes wrong or anything.
After that, we packed up all the necessities we needed before boarding the Omicron-Class shuttle, or what we like to call it, the "Havoc Marauder". I got into the pilot's seat and switched on the ignition buttons.
"So, where are we going, first?" Yeji asked me while tending to Sunwoo.
"Hmm... That, I haven't thought about." I answered and she facepalm.
"Are you serious? You know what, we don't need to do each of them in a specific order, so just one." She suggested it to me and I figured out what we were going to do first.
"How about the mermaids?" I proposed and she nodded.
"Good enough for us. We better contact the Navy so we can borrow a sub from them." Yeji mentioned to me and I nodded.
