Chapter 4: The New Home

Kinabukasan, tulad ng napagplanuhan ay agad na pumunta ng Imperial Palace sina Morgan at Achlise. They rode a carriage and stopped by the Northwest Gate of the palace where the Maid Quarters are located.

Bumaba sila ng carriage at dumiretso sa matayog na gate ng palasyo. There are about four knights guarding the gate. Two of the knights are guarding inside while the other two are stationed outside.

"Greetings, Lady Morgana," bati ng mga knights.

They are already familiar with the Caliwells, because aside from the House's reputation, they are also a relative of the Imperial Palace's head maid.

Napasulyap pa ang mga knights sa kasama ni Morgan na si Achlise. As if they were enchanted by her beauty, they blushed upon getting eye contact with her. Morgan can't help but to hide her smile.

"Good morning, Sirs. We have an appointment with the Head Maid, Baroness Rebecca today," bati ni Morgan sabay taas nga kaniyang imperial pass.

"A-Ah, ganoon po ba? Then, please have a good time in the palace, My Ladies," sagot ng isang knight na nasa labas sabay senyas sa mga knights na nasa loob.

Agad naman nilang binuksan ang gate at pinapasok ang dalawa. Achlise bowed to the four of them to silently deliver her gratitude.

"Thank you, Sirs," pasasalamat din ni Morgan.

Sabay nang pumasok ang dalawa sa loob. Agad silang tumungo sa isang dalawang palapag ngunit mahabang building. It was the Maid Quarters and even that building alone, screams luxury.

Pumasok sila sa building.

"There are over eight Maid Quarters building. Isa rito sa Northwest part ng palace, ito rin ang main quarter ng mga Servants at Maidservants dahil bukod sa nandito ang opisina ng Head Maid ay ito rin ang quarter na pinakamalapit sa residence palace ng Emperor, the Silver Palace. Kaya nandito ang mga maids na naka-assign sa mga palace sa Northwest, that includes His Majesty's palace and Main Office. Mayroon ding Maid Quarters sa iba't iba pang parte ng palasyo."

Hindi mapigilan ni Achlise ang mamangha habang iniikot ang paligid sa simple ngunit malinis at maayos na hallway ng building na kanilang dinadaanan. Though the cream-colored walls are concrete, the windows, floor and the doors are made of the finest and most sturdy wood.

Wala nang tao sa hallway, nasa kaniya-kaniya na silang trabaho. Kaya bukod sa huni ng mga ibon, pagaspas ng mga dahon ng puno sa labas dahil sa hangin, ingay ng mga takong ng kanilang sapatos at boses ni Morgan ay wala na silang ibang naririnig.

But when they are about to turn right in the hallway, they heard some muffled voices that seems like in the middle of a conversation.

Nang tuluyan silang lumiko ay roon lamang sila nakakita ng dalawang tao sa pinakadulo ng hallway. They are having a conversation. The middle-aged woman wearing a black hooped dress, with ruffled and high-neck collar, and mutton long sleeves was telling something to the other woman with a maid attire.

Napatingin ang middle-aged na babae kila Morgan at agad na tinapos ang kung anuman ang hinahabilin nito sa kaharap na maid.

"Inform the Yves sisters that we are going to have a new maidservant in the Silver Palace as well."

"Yes, Mistress."

Nakasalubong pa nina Achlise at Morgan ang maid na kausap kanina ng middle-aged woman. They bowed their heads as a form of silent greeting.
