It takes us more than our energy to run away. We run, run and run.

"We have to leave town", Asher suddenly says.

"You drive."

He nods before rushing to the first car we find on the street. It's a big one which is good enough. I break the glass window and get on the passenger side. I wait for Asher to start the car. It takes a few minutes.

He keeps driving to the city's entrance. There are many but the main one is the closest.

"Hey, Kenny!" Asher calls while I look at the road in ruins.

"What?"

He nods at what faces us. So I look at it and my eyes get wide. There are tons of police cars posted next to the entrance as if they were checking who goes by it. I swear.

"We can still try."

"Are you out of your mind?!" I shout. "Let's go to the entrance that gives to the north."

For once, he listens to me. But my proposition is useless since at every entrance, there are police cars.

"We're locked."

Ignoring me, Asher turns back in order to take a different road.

"Where are you driving to?"

"Surprise, surprise." There's no amusement in his voice which makes me hesitate for a few seconds.
