Chapter 12

Evelyn's New Year's was kind of boring. She put some make up on and did a few tiktok's. She tried on some of her sisters dresses. But later that night she got really sad because she thought she'd be with him this New Year's. She thought she'd be in his arms going into 2022 but most of all she thought his kiss would bring her into 2022.
But apparently some thoughts aren't meant to be. Instead this New Year's she was at home and she was alone.
Evelyn's sadness had her in a loop. She was crying and couldn't stop thinking about him, she couldn't stop thinking about how much she gave him all of her. Evelyn thought of all the times she gave him what he wanted. Thought of all the times that she gave him her heart. But most important She showed him every part of her. Not just her body but her family, her problems with her dad, her mental problems, her insecurities, she showed him her flaws and he made them seem like it was nothing.
He knew exactly how to get their heart. Boy did he get to her heart he had her heart wrapped around his little finger. He had her thinking he was going to be her forever, had her thinking he was going to be the father of her kids, most importantly he got her thinking that he was going to be with her till the end.
Although Evelyn had to come to the realization that none of that was going to happen, it still killed her. Him having her wrapped around his finger took a part of her that she will never have back. It's like part of her is missing she's no longer a whole person. He took her happy side, he took her imagination, he took her hopes and dreams, but most of all he took of her heart.
Just seeing the pictures of how happy she was with him broke her heart more and more. Evelyn couldn't wait to get him out of her head and forget about him. But then she thought this song playing in the background

Just hearing that verse of the Memory I Don't Mess With by Lee Brice had Evelyn balling harder than she's ever cried in her life. And although she promised her self and swore to her self that she would live by what she had said one Christmas Eve she knew it was gonna be a lot harder to hold to her word.  When she just knows in her heart that he was the one that got away.

        So she cried and she tried to sit there and she tried to not grab it but she couldn't hold back anymore. It happened in a blur she pulled open her drawer and grabbed her blue blade with that, she rolled up her sleeve and let it out. Blood started falling not a lot but some. When she finally stopped she didn't feel any better, she did not wanna stop but the Blur she was in one went away so she stopped.
