The Gamma's Special Mate

Chapter 8

Micah's POV:

I listened in horror as the Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Miss Amy talked about the witch Malia and the witch Genova. I didn't know what to do..I couldn't believe that Genova would do something like this..When we were finished with our meeting, I walked back to my small little hut. Nobody in the pack knew I stayed in a small abandoned hut. "Brother? Is that you?" a small voice from within the cabin asked. I smiled. "Yes, bud. It's me." I entered the hut and found my little brother Bobby sitting in the small bed. The only reason we stayed here, was because I was afraid people would find out who we were. And because I didn't want to impose on other wolves. Bobby and I have been living here for the past seven years. Bobby is six. We were abandoned by my adoptive parents when he was just a year old. I was left on my own with a one year old baby! We were on our own for six months. But we got lucky. The Alpha of this pack found us and allowed us to become apart of his pack. I was ten at the time and could take care of myself very well. I protested when he said I could stay with him. I told him I found a place I could stay with Bobby. He allowed me to stay there, not knowing where I was staying. I came by the pack house every day to train with him. He gave me not just good training, but he gave me food and blankets, and a little stuffed bear for Bobby. He loves that bear. "Here you go, little brother." I said, handing him a plate of boiled vegetables. He made a face. "I don't like vegetables!" He said. Then he noticed something on the plate. "Ooo! Asparagus!" He immediately started eating while i just sat there trying not to burst into laughter. I thoroughly enjoyed my baby brother. He was the light of my life. I never told him about our sisters though. Yes, my sisters are Genova and Malia. When I knew them, they weren't.....like that at all!

*Flashback*

"What do you want to do when grow up, Bwover, sissie?" Malia asked as we cleaned up our room. "I wanna be a great fighter and save the wolf packs from certain doom!" I yelled. "Oh yea, wight. You afwaid of your own shadow! You couldn't do dat!" Genova and Malia laughed. "Whatever. You won't be waghing when I save you from...um...certain doom!" My sisters rolled their eyes. "Mommy and daddy says that Malia and I are witches..And I want to be a good witch. I want to be kind to wolf packs and help them in need." Genova could talk like mommy and daddy already. She was only three! "I wanna do dat too!" Malia exclaimed. We all agreed that day, that we would never be evil or abandon each other in their time of need.

"Big brother? You ok?" he asked. "I'm fine, Bobby. I was just thinking. Now, finish those veggies. Alright?" "Ok, Mikey." I smiled as I watched him eat. Mikey was his nickname for me. I only let my siblings call me Mikey. I finished my portion of food. "Bobby, you feeling alright?" I asked, noticing he didn't look very good. He is sick, but I thought he was getting better. "I'm just a little nauseous and dizzy.." he replied. "Here. Come lie down. I'll get you a cool cloth for your head. First though, I want to see of that fever came down." He's had a fever for a week. It hasn't gone down, but he seems..fine I guess? Anyway, I checked his fever, which didn't go down at all. "It's the same. I really wish I was a wizard like dad..then I could just make you better in a snap!" "What are you talking about..? Was daddy a wizard?" Ooops. I haven't told him anything about mom and dad and my sisters. "Well, my daddy was. Your daddy was a wolf. I was adopted by your family before you were born." I explained. "Cool! Is a wizard like a male witch, big brother?" I nodded. "Yea, sorta." "Cool!" he shrieked. I smiled. "Alright, you. Get some rest. I'll see you in the morning." I put the cloth on his head and said goodnight. I switched off the small light bulb in the hut and went to my sleeping bag. I let Bobby have the mattress while I slept on the floor in a sleeping bag. I thought long and hard into the night. Somehow, I needed to save Genova and Malia. I needed to find out what ever happened to them. Eventually, I did manage to fall asleep. But, a few hours later, I was woken up by hard, loud coughing. "Bobby?!" I exclaimed in a worried tone. I looked at my little brother in horror. He looked terrible..he was coughing really hard. His face was paler than usual. His eyes looked paler than usual. I immediately checked his fever. It wasn't the same...it was worse! "I told you we should've stayed in the pack! In an actual house!" my wolf, Rex chided me. "I know, I know! But lets not worry about that right now!" "Bobby, I'm going to shift into my wolf. I want you to keep bundled up in a blanket and climb on my back. Alright?" I ran my hand through his damp hair. The poor boy was so hot he was sweating! "Ok, Mikey.." he responded weakly. I shifted and Bobby climbed on my back with his bear, Paws. I ran as fast and as carefully as I could towards the pack house. I didn't know what to do..I already lost my sisters and parents. I didn't want to lose my baby brother as well!

Cayden's POV:

I woke up to the sound of knocking on the door of he pack house. It was loud and continuous. "Cayden!" Amy exclaimed as she opened my door. "Did you hear the knocking too, Amy?" I asked. She nodded. "But I didn't just hear the knocking. I heard a little boy groaning. Whoever is at the door, needs desperate help," she said seriously. I nodded and got out of bed quickly. I knew Amy had excellent hearing. And I trusted her. We ran down the stairs and were met by Zack, Alex, Lia, Kelly, and Quinn. Alex opened the door, only to see a wolf with a little boy bundled up in a blanket, clinging to a stuffed bear. "Help, please! It's me, Micah! This is my brother, Bobby. We need help!" I received a mind-link from Micah. I had never seen him in wolf form before. I guess he decided to shift because it would be faster. "Come, bring him inside." I told him. I explained the mind-link I got from him to the others. "I will get Dr. Marks." Zack said quickly. Dr. Marks was the pack doctor. We do have more doctors than just him of course, but he's our main one. "You can use my bed." Quinn offered. I smiled. "Please, mommy?" "Alright, sweetheart. You can sleep with me and daddy for now. Come, Micah. Quinn and I will bring you up to the bed room." He nodded in response. I really don't know where he's been living, but my guess is, it's pretty far from the rest of the pack. Micah looked tired out, but his eyes displayed signs of worry. "The doctor is on his way." Zack announced, when he finally came back into the room. "Kelly and Quinn are upstairs with Micah and Bobby. Amy is helping Lia get some coffee and water. Coffee for Micah and water for Bobby. Bobby is going to use Quinn's room for now." I told him. He nodded. For a few minutes, I sat on the couch with Amy, waiting for the doctor. Micah had become a close friend, and his little brother, well, he was like our own little brother. "Cayden, do you think he'll be alright?" Amy asked me. I gave her a tight hug. "I don't know for sure, Amy. But, I we have to have a little faith. A little hope. And, love. With our love for each other, our faith and hope in each other..I think he'll be alright." She smiled. What I told her may sound corny, but, it's true. The greatest gifts are faith, hope and charity. Or in other words, Love. Brotherly love. A special kind of love. They are very important. Faith, hope, and love, these three..
