The Gamma's Special Mate

Chapter 5

Amy's POV:

I was worried about Cayden when I heard he had been beaten. I thought our troubles were over with the Blood Moon Pack. But, I suppose I was wrong. I went up into his room soon after Zack and Alex (Yes, he let me call him Alex, instead of Alpha Alex.) left and found he had fallen asleep. I smiled. I didn't wake him. He took these things hard. No, it didn't happen often. At least, I don't think it does. But, I can somehow tell. Sometimes, I can tell a little bit about what a person is like, just by meeting them once. And, Cayden was one of those people. A several hours later, Cayden woke up. Zack and Alex had returned. Zack gave Cayden a small bag. I didn't know what was in it, but I guess it was important. Because he was so happy to get it back. I was happy for him. We spent the rest of the day together. I enjoyed myself. And I made sure Cayden did too. If he's happy, I'm happy. We had some tasty subs for dinner and cupcakes for dessert. Then, we all sat back on the couch and watched a movie. Quinn wanted to watch Moana, so that's what we saw. After the movie was over, it was time for Quinn to go to bed. "But mommy! I'm not tired!" the dark haired girl yawned. "Honey, you almost fell asleep in daddy's lap. Now, how about you go upstairs and get into your bed, before Ember and I have to drag you up there." Kelly said. Quinn squealed in laughter and ran up the stairs with Kelly at her heels. "So, how about MacGyver?" Cayden suggested. "I've never seen it. Is it good?" "It's great! We'll watch episode one of the first season." "Sounds good to me." Alex stated while Zack nodded. "Cool. I think you might like it, Amy. He is amazing!" Lia told me. Zack cleared his throat. I giggled. That was like a "What about me? Aren't I amazing too?" Lia rolled her eyes and gave him a kiss. He seemed to accept that.  A few minutes later, Kelly came down. "She's finally asleep," she replied sitting beside her mate. We enjoyed the movie. It was action filled and had some humor to it. Everyone except me fell asleep in about an hour. I smiled to myself, snuggled up closer to Cayden and continued watching the movie. I enjoyed myself more when the others were awake. I liked watching movies with them. The next morning, I awoke to the delicious smell of sausage and bacon. I got up and went to the kitchen. Cayden, Alex, and Zack weren't in there though. It was kinda weird. "Where are the boys?" I asked. "Uh..they uh..they had some important..um..pack stuff to do. Yea. Important pack stuff to do." Lia stammered as if trying to think of an excuse. "Ok? Should I be worried?.." "Oh no. Of course not!" Kelly said quickly. "Anyway, how about we girls go to the mall a little later. I think we should get you a nice outfit for your birthday in a couple days." "Uh..ok?.." I was really confused but I just figured they wanted to spend time together. Like a girl's day out, which sounded like fun. After breakfast, we went upstairs to get ready. It took about an hour and a half to get to the mall. But, we weren't really paying attention to the time. Lia, Kelly, and I were listening to some music on a CD. Ok, we were singing with it too. When we finally arrived, Kelly and Lia dragged me from store to store, having me try on outfit after outfit. Well, I finally got a chance to do the same to them after they finally picked the perfect outfit for me. Yes, they literally said perfect. I have to say, it took them longer to pick my outfit than it took me to pick theirs. I picked out a cute jean skirt with pink flowers and a dark purple shirt for Lia. It was definitely her. She loved it. "Oh it's so cute! Look at the flowers! And the color! Oh I love jean skirts! Oh thank you!  Thank you!" While she continued raving about her new clothes, Kelly tried her outfit on. She looked amazing. Alex was going to faint when he sees this outfit. In a good way. "I love it! Thanks, Amy. I think Alex will like it too." It was a pale blue sleeveless dress with a small white sweater type coat. "No problem, girls. I'm glad you like the outfits." I smiled. After we paid for our stuff and got back to the pack house, Quinn ran right up to Kelly. "Mommy, daddy is threatening to do something bad to somebody.." "What happened, sweetie?" Quinn shrugged. Stay here with Auntie Lia. Mommy and Miss Amy are going attempt to calm your daddy down." Kelly told her hazel-eyed daughter. "I think he's past calming down. He said he wanted to kill somebody." Yep. This was not good. I followed Kelly to the office. We stood outside a minute and listened to the Alpha yell. "NO I WON'T CALM DOWN, ZACK! THIS PACK HAS ABUSED MY GAMMA AND NOW THEY WANT TO TAKE DOWN THE REST OF THIS PACK! AND YOU EXPECT ME TO CALM DOWN?!" "This is going to be interesting." Jill commented as we pushed our way into the office. "Alex, calm down! Just take a deep breath." Kelly soothed him. Slowly, he calmed down. "Now, tell me, honey, what is going on?" He took a deep breath and let it out before he answered. "The Blood Moon Pack has threatened war upon our pack."

 Hey everyone! I'm so sorry for the late update. I will try to update more often. As you can imagine we are reasonable busy as it is the Christmas season. Next week, I plan to visit my aunt and give her her present. So, I may not be able to update then. What do you all think so far?
