"It will be okay, trust me. I come here and do this all the time." Elsie said.
Little did she know I was nervous at best and was not used to doing things out of the ordinary. Elsie and I were just two kids in high school just trying to get by. You could say we were part of the out crowd and the kind of people others did not dare mess with. For whatever reason, I am not sure, but it sure as hell helped for the time being. Elsie had some of the same issues growing up, so we grew a bond over that. She was dark yet sweet and very conniving; I'm sure people thought she was weird.
But for me, I was a lyricist, and my life revolves around songs, for every lyric meant something important to me.

She insisted I go with her to meet guys at a local skate park called Chenga 57. She was more into than I was, as my first relationship did not go exactly as planned. I.E., he was abusive and a total control freak, and I was not ready for that again. My heart had been broken the summer before this, and I was dating my friends' brother.
I never felt much for anyone who had liked me or tried anything with me. I was always dark in that sense, and I didn't want to get attached to anyone.
But with Kyle, it just happened, and I was stupidly in love or fascinated with the idea. I would waste my nights sneaking out to meet him and mess around with him. Music influenced many things in my life, which was undoubtedly one of those times. "Thunder" by Boys Like Girls was our song, and he knew it all too well, but at least we stayed friends.
Elsie knew of my breakup with him but insisted I lived a little and had some fun, and I had no idea what would come from all of this...
