Such a sucker

Every time

Matt's POV
I know I leave for basic soon, but I had to make her mine. I could learn a thing or two from her. I've never dated a blonde before, and truthfully she is my dream girl. I have to show her how she deserves to be treated.

Kayla's POV
He is cute, in fact too pretty, but I can't let myself get too attached. We all know what happens whenever I do. Have to be smart about this one, whatever that means.

I soon brought him around a bunch of my work friends. They adored him, and he liked them as well. We spent every day together until he left to go to primary in October. A few days after he left, my apartment got broken into. When he found out, he was pissed off, but there wasn't anything we could do. Considering the area I lived in, the police wouldn't do fingerprints. But they got nothing out of it besides a TV that was in French and a cheap DVD player. Suckers.

No phones in basic training, he was in the National Guard, so it was hard to talk to him. We wrote each other letters, and he always mentioned how he was waiting to come home. That he wanted to move in with me. My kids adored him; my daughter even swore he was her boyfriend.
He never held a baby until he held my youngest son. I thought that was pretty cool.

Kayla's POV
Ugh, I'm so nervous I don't know how to act. At least my cousin said she would go with me. I've never driven past Indiana before, so I'm excited. But yet very nervous! I'm excited to see him finally and to be able to see my old best friend, Amber. Missouri, here we come.

I had to rent a car because my junky SUV would not make it there and back. I needed to have something more reliable. When I went to pick out a vehicle, they had a super tiny car, but I needed a utility bill or something to prove my address. So my dad and I had to leave and come back. When we came back, they let me rent a Chrysler 200 for the same price as what they showed me previously! For a car, this is my dream car.

It drove so smooth, and the drive didn't seem as long there. My cousin and I took turns going, and Illinois is the most prolonged state to drive through, never again. It was nice to finally make it to the hotel and be out of the crazy traffic. We met up with my friend Amber and then went out to Waffle House. I had never eaten there before, but their food was good!
The next day my cousin and I went to get our nails done at some random nail shop. We were there for a while, it seemed. The nails turned out great, so that was a plus. Then it was time to go to his graduation for AIT and the place was packed. I'm talking back to back even inside the building.

The ceremony was long and afterwards we went out to eat. I burned the roof of my mouth on broccoli oops. He had went with his family to the condo or whatever they reserved. We met them there and then Matt came with us. Cause we were leaving, his family wasn't too happy about that, but oh well.

We all took turns driving Matt, my cousin, and I. My cousin ran over a curb at a fast station that looked like it wasn't open. But there were people outside so she was embarrassed. They asked if we were okay and we switched drivers and left. I drove most of the way home until we got lost. Oops.
