Walking around the street with Astra by his side felt different

Walking around the street with Astra by his side felt different. Taehyung had always roamed the place alone and with a company now, he was flustered and shy. That too, it was a girl, a companion he would have never expected.

Nearing a very-very familiar street, Taehyung paused, pulling Astra, who was trodding along the path, back. He hummed and turned to her, "Um . . . Can you wait here for a minute? I have another important person here to meet. And—STAY HERE, ASTRA!" He screamed at her as she tried following a frog that fell into the open sewer.

"Oh, no. Can frogs swim?"

"Astra! This place can be dangerous too. Please, please, stay here and wait for me, or I'll have to tie you up to the pole."

He warned and walked deeper into the street, not looking back to the girl who decided to be obedient for once. But, her sight never stayed at one place. From the frog that just suicided, to the wet birds that occupied the walls and to the songs from the radio from people's homes.

'I do the same thing I told you that I never would
Told you I'd change even when I knew I never could
Know that I can't find nobody else as good as you
I need you to stay
Need you to stay~'

Astra bobbed her head and stomped her feet on the ground to the next beat that hit the lyrics of the song. She didn't understand the pronunciations properly but, the next verses did feel clear.

'Ain't no way that I can leave you stranded
Cause you ain't never left me empty-handed
And you know that I know that I can't live without you
So, baby, stay~'

Sarah roughly pushed Taehyung back to the fridge with both her hands tightly holding him back by his collar. Her eyes were flooded with tears but Taehyung scoffed. "Stop faking, Sarah. I don't trust you anymore. You—You took advantage of my situation. So, are you happy now?"

She stumbled back, a palm on her mouth as she coughed and sobbed out, not expecting Taehyung to react that way. He fixed his collar and folded his arms across his chest. "I loved you so much. But, now, you know what, I won't miss you anymore. Do whatever you want and I wish you good luck."He spat and tried to walk to the main door from where she pulled him in. But, Sarah fell onto her knees and held onto Taehyung's leg.

"I—I've always wanted to tell it to you! Why don't you understand? I love—loved you much-much more than you could ever think and—and, Taehyung, please don't. I never took advantage of you but—we both were just not meant for each other. I wanted it to—to be a peaceful parting. Not like this!" She cried out loud, her voice breaking with each word that fell out along with those ugly tears that he once hated so much coming from her eyes.

Footsteps approached the kitchen and soon, Matt stood by the dining table with an ice-pack around his wound that Taehyung gifted. Matt rushed to Sarah and pulled her up from the ground, holding her to his chest and snarling at Taehyung. "Just because you're not perfect, doesn't mean others have to suffer—"

"STOP IT, TAEHYUNG!" Sarah screamed as Taehyung's fist again collided with Matt's mouth. The man fell to the ground—not moving at all as the girl landed on his side, trying to stop the bleeding from his chin. She looked in terror, back and forth to both the men in the room.

Taehyung let a last sob and rushed out of the home and into the rain that had already fastened more than the weather reporters informed about. Thunders and lightenings randomly hit around. "No . . . I won't miss her at all!"

He rushed back to where he left Astra and looked around, he saw nobody, causing him to panic. He ran around the street, trying to look for the girl who was kind of his responsibility. He bit his lip, getting more and more drenched in the rain—feeling his clothes sticking to his body.

Searching more for about 15 minutes, he finally sighed seeing her by a local cafe. She was sitting beside another lady, swaying along with a song.

'Another story that's sad and true
I can feel the pain. Can you?
You had to be the one to let me down
To color me blue'

The other woman was also singing and encouraging Astra to sing with her. With a laugh, she accepted it and sang awkwardly, looking through the lyrics on her phone. The other people in the cafe—young and old—cheered along and sang. Taehyung laughed seeing how everybody's attention was on her and her cheeks were on fire.

'Hate to see you with someone new
I'll put a curse on her and you
Ain't no looking back
Now you're dead and gone
My love is gone too~'

A young man on the back came forward, bringing along a few cheers, and pretended to hold a guitar, strumming his fingers in the air, according to the ones in the song. He sat in front of Astra, smiling widely as Taehyung finally decided to step in.

Still in the mood for Christmas, the little cafe had fairy lights all over—giving the entire place a golden glow. Astra, along with that guy, shimmered underneath them. Christmas trees, the little ones, were on each corner, and fake snow, clouds, and fairies hung from the ceilings. On the other radio near the main desk, Cliff Richard suggested wine and mistletoe but, nobody minded that—their eyes were only on Astra who has now adapted to the chorus.

As he opened the glass door, it hit the bell on the top, alerting everybody of his presence stepping in. Astra's huge eyes fell on him and she stood up, moving from the crowd to him with a cup of warm beverage. She handed it to him, pulled out a light blue handkerchief from her pouch, and held Taehyung by his collar, reaching to his head and gently rubbing through his locks.

"Uh . . . I'm sorry for worrying you. I did think of waiting for you there but, it was too cold and it was raining . . ."

"I—It's totally fine, Astra. You did give me a mini heart attack though." He laughed with her hand still tangled with his hair and looked over to the rain that fell cats and dogs.

"We should stay here for the time being?"

"Yeah! There's another song on the radio, guys!" The same guy with his imaginary guitar waved, welcoming them into the warmth of Honey And Hollow Coffee House.
