"Shit!"
Yeonjun cursed out loudly, scaring the poor people on the other side. He tried to flick off the thing that looked like blood from the bottom of his feet. All he knew was that it didn't belong to him. That was enough.
As the sight became more and more clear by the minute, he realized there was a wooden door on the other side of the room they were in. Trying to walk forward to the man he met eyes with first, Yeonjun planned to ask what he was here for.
But, with ugly tears streaming down his eyes, the man shielded his face with his bony hands and tried to scoot away from him. Yeonjun didn't stop, he walked further ahead and squatted near him with eyes shining with concern. "Sir? You okay?" His voice was softer than he himself expected it to be.
The man sniffled for the last time and moved his hands away to be met with Yeonjun's smile. He offered him a hand and pat his head. Surprisingly, the man smiled back. The boy stood up, looking for his shirt that lay on the far corner of the cell. As he was about to wear it on, he noticed a lone female in the crowd.
She wasn't like the others- her eyes held anger and scars adorned her face. Her long hair was put up in a messed-up bun and a piece of cloth was wrapped around her forehead.
She looked more like a warrior- the other pieces of cloth wrapped around her hands were making her look so cool. Yeonjun gulped walking to her- expecting to be cut to shreds if she pulled a sword out of nowhere. Only she looked pretty decent and talkable in the group.
"Uh . . . Miss, can you tell me what's happening?"
"You're arrested. We all are."
"F-For what?!"
"Trespassing. We're thieves. I don't know about what YOU were doing there near the prince's field. Taking a sunbath, kid?" Her sharp glare tore through his brain as he blinked. Maybe he ended up in a different era?
His watch was gone and he was trapped in a prison.
Yeonjun put his hand into his shirt- into the hidden four-dimensional compartment. His other useless stuff was all there instead of the ones he needed the most. The warrior had her eyes wide and eyebrows clashed as she watched him shake out all the items from the inside.
She picked up and knife-like item and tried fiddling with it until a little flame erupted from the inside. "Careful," Yeonjun warned, taking it away from her. "How- How? How are you having all those things?!"
"I can't explain to you that. I have to escape. My friend is out there looking for me," he wasn't really sure if Astra was really looking for him or busy with her business of finding Taehyung thinking that her partner was smart enough to find his way back home.
"If I knew how, I would have escaped years ago."
"It has been years?!"
"Since I got arrested. You arrived last evening. Do not worry. So . . . Who are you? A prince? Messenger?"
Yeonjun chuckled lightly, brushing off the dirt from his hair, and smiled, "I'm Dan- Yeonjun. Choi Yeonjun. I'm someone from very far. I don't know how I ended up here- I think I was unconscious. You are?"
He extended his hand, stood up, and helped the girl stand up too. She kicked the ground with both her legs- one at each time and stretched her hands as if she's been crumpled in that corner for weeks. After all her warm-up, she smiled back for the first time since they met.
"Hello, Yeonjun. I'm Hei-Ran Wol, princess of Dong Yue."
