Astra woke up with a jerk as the same nightmare hit her again. Taehyung was sitting by that same bathtub, crying and blaming her for his death. She did accept it but now, she realized that he was destined to die.
Their love was nothing but mere attraction.
There was another announcement from the speakers of the airport she was in. She had decided she was going to continue living here as another mere human who'd soon leave the universe but, she didn't want that place to be Seoul.
Terry was dead. She found that out three weeks later.
Her watch was gone. She realized that a month later when she was ready to leave.
There was no purpose for her in 2177 anyway. She knew she couldn't live her normal life again after everything that happened. She didn't bother reaching out for help.
Astra didn't want Beomgyu or anyone to come for her. She didn't want to be a grim reaper anymore. She wanted to leave all bad memories behind and maybe, find some inspiration to start living again.
But, that inspiration was not going to be a person.
Taehyung was dead. He was such a selfless person. Now looking back, Kim Taehyung definitely saved her life.
She smiled, uploading a last picture of him with the Mario Kart hat and her with the Luigi hat on his Instagram account. Her face was blurred—so that no Time Diplomat could find her.
Time Diplomat 0 7 was dead.
Astra transferred all the pictures they took on his last days to her mobile before permanently switching it off and saving it in her bag. As another announcement came through, she stood up on her feet with a determined smile—she was going to live.
"Life is short." I thought it was foolish. But, now, I believe it.
Life's too short to let other people rule over you.
Life's too short to cry over broken relationships.
Life's too short to spend enough time with the ones we love.
