A buzzing sound was all that floated around the quiet room. Terry and Sam were silently watching as Yeonjun lay on the white floating bed with a glass cover of protection over it. He was in Intensive Care. Surprisingly.
The moment the loop to 2177 opened, he fell out, like a lifeless body. To them, he looked pretty normal—except for the fact that he was badly traumatized. But, beneath that, he had wounds and bruises all over himself. His right foot seemed to have stepped on a twig that tore his skin and entered a little too deep, His wrist was badly injured and bleeding and his arm had a pretty huge cut and was disgustingly infected.
The Historical Branch's boss stood there too, near the door with a frown as he looked over to the robots that did their jobs on computers alongside the glassed chamber. Oxygen levels, heartbeat monitor, and breathing speed were already in hand.
"Psst!" Taehyun's head snapped to the hissing sound as he turned to his boss who had his head low. Looking down, he saw Beomgyu crouching by the man's feet. "Come here, bro." He whispered, gesturing to him to walk out as the redhead formally thanked everyone there and exited the scene politely.
"Yo, you were so close to death—"
"I can't find Astra's signals either now."
"Pardon, what?"
Beomgyu pulled the boy into the main room and pushed his head into a radar screen where two red dots were supposed to be—one Yeonjun's and the other one Astra's.
And now, both weren't there.
"Oh, f—What happened to her now? My luck's shit these days." Terry groaned and slammed his hand onto a table as Ben tried clicking and pushing buttons but, it was the same as before. "Hey . . . I and Sam will take care of Yeonjun. It's better if you return to 2026. I'm pretty sure she's okay."

As Astra dozed off slowly, Taehyung stepped on the accelerator and the engine roared. He had a sudden hit of panic that he might have woken the girl up. He gently cracked his neck to his right and saw her head slightly rested on the closed window—her mouth was agape and the position was uncomfortable to just look at.
The evening was setting in and the night was turning colder. Taehyung's only guess was that he'd have to send Astra home and return to his own soon maybe.
He was going on about his story about how his mother, at first, wanted to name him after her favorite singer and how his father was against it because he was an anti. That's when her head started hanging low and he shut up.
I probably bored her.
Astra's senses knew somebody was staring at her as she started feeling weird—weirdly nice. It was like the warm gaze of a personal guardian angel looking after you as you slept—keeping you away and safe from the monsters under your bed or the ones in your mind.
