She finally arrived at his home, closed the door, in a clumsy way behind her and brought him to the bedroom, placing him over his bed. Charlie went back to the front door to lock it. She should get dressed, so she was walking to her bedroom when she heard a loud noise in the bedroom.
She widened her eyes, did he fall? The sound was very loud and it scared her, to the point she ran to it. When she entered, Alastor was fully awake, sitting on his bed, pressing his back against the wall behind it and looking at his arm, he had opened his shirt to look at the marks of blood on his sleeve and revealed the wound. The shirt was still hanging in his arms. The bedside lamp was on the floor. It didn't break, but it was on the floor. Probably he woke up and pushed it away, making it fall.
"What happened?" She asked, getting the lamp and placing it over the bedside table.
"What happened? I should be the one asking it! What happened?! How am I here?!" He looked at Charlie with his eyes widened and confused.
"I brought you here."
"You?! How?! By yourself, how?" He seemed to be scared for his life, did he see... He actually saw her wings back then?
"I- You see-" 'think Charlie, think...' She looked at the lamp and then slowly sat over the edge of the bed. "We were hunting, and another hunter was aiming at the same deer, but he missed and shot your arm-" As Charlie began to explain, Alastor looked again at his arm. "He was very sorry for what happened and-" she stopped. "I brought you here... I'm just glad you are okay." She smiled and turned to him, to caress his face.
"Well, thank you Charlie. I'm so sorry... It must be difficult for you to carry me for a long path." He pursed his lips and slowly pulled her closer to him. He kissed her as a thank you.
"Are you fine? Aren't you tired though?" He held her face and she touched his nose with hers.
"I'm okay, actually, I'm just glad you are okay and I can spend more time with you." She said and went for another kiss. He was still confused about what happened, something wasn't clicking.
Charlie just went for it though, slowly turning her body towards him. She thought about having a life with him as Helsa said - having a family. Could a demon have a family with a human? Yes— Right? After all, her mother had her and she was human before... But maybe her mother was different since she was one of the first humans and now she wasn't so-human. She then remembered how Helsa was over him, how she teased her with Alastor.
With all those thoughts going on, she didn't notice she got up to the bed and was sitting in his lap. Alastor frowned and broke the kiss slowly, just to look at her.
"Why are you wearing my overcoat?" Alastor interrupted the continuation of the kiss, he was extremely confused.
How was she going to explain it to him?!
"I was carrying you here, on my own, and I was going to wash the overcoat. I separated it and went to the bathroom. I brought it with me so I could wash, but once I got there and was about to enter the shower, I heard the lamp, so I got the overcoat, dressed and I'm-here." She gave a shy smile and Alastor frowned even more.
