The sun rose in New Orleans, painting all the buildings, streets and forest of the city. Alastor was graced with the warm light over his skin, causing the man to wake up. At first he faced a ceiling, and soon his mind already wondered about the facts of the past night. He was in a garage... Where is he?!
He jumped up, sitting straight and widening his eyes. He was... in his room? He frowned and looked down, his hands were wearing his gloves and he was in his red suit. It happened again; why?
Alastor got up and, just like the last time, he went to the bathroom to change clothes. Today he didn't have to worry about work since it was Saturday. He was covered in blood probably due to all the stabbing he did last night.
He should clean his clothes as well, and it was the second thing he did, including his gloves. When he was finished with it, he went to the kitchen to get some water in a pot to boil it. He was going to make some coffee since he wasn't hungry at all.
While the water was boiling, Alastor went to his radio to turn it on. There was music playing and he smiled. It was a good morning. He heard a bell and a hit over his door. It was the newspaper boy throwing it at his door. He walked to it and got the newspaper.
He waited a few more minutes before getting a mug and mixing the water with the coffee powder and pouring the black liquid. He sat to read the news while listening to the radio and drinking his coffee.
The radio talks about the Smiley Killer, Alastor's smile gets bigger as he has flashbacks of the day before; how delightful it was to see the scared face and those guilty eyes, the despair and frustration for not being able to be saved. Alastor enjoyed his coffee even more.
"The victim was Helen Burnett, according to the police report, she was identified as the well known 'Lovey Dovey Killer'. She made her partners fall in love with her, marry her while using a fake name and after the marriage, her partners were found dead. One of her victim's brothers once said to police that he strongly believed Kate, who was actually Helen with a fake name, was the one who killed his brother.
Police strongly believe Helen was murdered by the Smiley Killer due the smile carved on her face. A second victim was found at the scene of the crime, Thomas Wedler, he was a mechanic who worked at Barney and Wedler's shop. Police believed at first, Smiley killer was the one who killed Wedler, but different from Burnett, Wedler didn't have a smile carved on his face which crossed this speculation from the list."
Alastor smiled more, he knew police weren't that dumb, now they just had to connects the dots to-
"The Police also believe Lovey Dovey was the one who killed Thomas and the Smiley Killer killed her. –"
Alastor nodded, sipping his coffee while he swung his leg.
"What made police even more confused was that both victims were found without their eyes and few other parts of their bodies like fingers, pieces of belly and other parts.-"
Alastor widened his eyes and looked back to his fridge.
"Police don't know if this behavior comes from the Smiley Killer or if he has a partner now, a Butcher. We will wait for further investigations."
Alastor left his mug over the table with the newspaper and slowly walked towards his fridge.
"No, no, no, no, no." He said non stop in a low volume, almost in a whisper.
Alastor opened the fridge slowly, and his eyes widened even more as his eyebrows frowned. There were two jars now. The almost empty one was now filled and there was a new one completely filled too.
