Charlie slowly opened her eyes as the sun lit up the entire room. The birds were singing outside. She was facing the wardrobe and had to rub the sleep from her eyes with the back of her hand.

As her vision started to clear, the first thing she saw reflecting was the red gemstone in her ring. She stopped to look at it. The ring was gold and the little gemstone was shining in the light. She couldn't help but smile. She was really engaged with Alastor.

The same man who she collided into back when she was running away and adventuring into the living world. The same man who took a while to kiss her and become intimate with her. The same man who stole her heart and kept doing it... She was... Engaged to that man.

She couldn't help but smile wider. They've been through so much. Until a few days ago they were separated and she thought he didn't love her back for who she was... Now, after knowing and understanding, he asked for her hand. She curled up in the bed, wanting to giggle of happiness.

She slowly turned around to see if Alastor had already left the room, to her surprise, she touched his nose with hers.

He was asleep. He seemed peaceful... He had a little smile on his face and his breathing was touching her lips gently. He was so pretty, even this close. Usually those angles were extremely goofy, to look at someone this close, but as goofy as it was, Alastor was still pretty in her eyes.

Charlie rubbed her nose against his before trying to get up. She turned her body to face the wardrobe again and was about to get up when she felt his hands grabbing her by the waist and pulling her against him.

Their bodies collided and she felt his breath touching her neck. She tried to turn a little bit to see if he was sleeping yet, but she couldn't see.

"Al...?" She asked quietly.

There was no response.

So he was still sleeping... She thought of making breakfast and bringing it to him. A breakfast in bed. It would be lovely.

Charlie gently took his hand and moved it, freeing herself. She got out of bed and walked to leave the room. Once she left, she closed the door quietly.

She walked down the corridor and stopped by the room that was hers at first. She saw Razzle and Dazzle sleeping there in bed. The window's shade was closed just in case someone walked near the house and looked inside.

She kept looking inside the room. She saw her bags there. She hadn't opened it or unpacked her things yesterday because she and Alastor had a busy day. He brought her to lunch and then they walked the city until nightfall. They had dinner at their home and went to sleep.

Their home, she was actually living with him now... She still couldn't believe it. She slowly leaned her back against the door frame and kept looking at her bags and then to the easel.

She loved that place, and she had so many memories already...

Knock knock

She heard it coming from the kitchen. She frowned and looked at the room. It was empty.

Charlie slowly walked towards it. Did it come from the front door? She slowly walked towards the front door. But when she was about to touch the knob to open it, she heard the knock coming from behind her.

She looked back and saw a black silhouette on the window. She tilted her head.

The knockings kept going and the more Charlie went towards the window the more she could recognize what it was.
