The sun was slowly lowering more in the sky as the day began to turn to night.night was beginning to show up. Alastor was already carrying their bags, Charlie was carrying one of it on her back. Razzle and Dazzle were disguised as little flies following Charlie and Alastor. They were heading into a dark forest.
The forest seemed like a painting to Charlie, with shades of orange and red painting and invading the forest, between the trees and leaves. It was beautiful to witness. Especially because in Hell she just saw one kind of sky. A red one that never changed.
Alastor was leading the way, always holding some branches so Charlie could pass, or unblocking the way for her.
As soon they stepped out of between the trees to an open area. There was a huge lake in front of them. The ground suddenly changed from grass to little rocks mixed with sand until it reached the lake.
The sun that was almost gone was still shining in the sky and reflecting over the lake's water. Again, it was a beautiful image to turn into a painting.
Charlie sighed with a smile of how beautiful the view was.
Alastor put their bags on the ground and started to unpack. He unpacked the stuff to build a tent. He had some camping tent that he and his father used to use when they were out camping to hunt. They did it just a few times but Alastor had lovely memories from it.
He also had an ax and some ropes.
"Charlie, can you separate those for me? I will get some tree trunks for us." He pointed to the camping tarps and ropes that were all messy over the floor.
"Sure!" She smiled as she woke up from memorizing the view and put the bag she was carrying on the ground.
Alastor disappeared in the middle of the forest for a while.
While he did that, Charlie organized the camping tarps and ropes as Alastor asked her to, and when she finished, she walked towards the lake.
Razzle and Dazzle turned into their normal selves and sat over the ground watching the sunset as well. They were intrigued by its colors.
Charlie slowly removed her shoes and slowly touched the water with her human disguised feet. She had to pull up her dress a little bit just feeling the cold water entering in contact with her skin. She closed her eyes and raised her head. Slowly opened her arms as she was feeling the wind touching her skin as well. The combo of the wind and the cold water was somehow relaxing to her.
Alastor came back with two big trunks, but not so thick ones. He was already sweating by carrying these heavy trunks. He placed them onto the ground and watched Charlie. He smiled and fixed his glasses. He was happy she was enjoying it, as it seemed.
He began to build up the camping tent for them. Usually he and his father would do it like that, nowadays it was easier if you had a car and bought a tent-in-a-box. But since Alastor didn't have any of those, he would build one as his father taught him.
Alastor was slowly trying to stick the first tree trunk into the ground. Once he was able to do that, he measured with his own steps the distance to stick the other one. He was sweating even more since he was doing it by himself.
Charlie heard the rocks moving behind her and looked at Alastor.
"Al! Wait, I can help you." She released the tips of her dress and walked towards him, feeling the little stones under her feet. She smiled at this sensation, if she was with her demon feet, she wouldn't be able to feel it.
