Aisling paced restlessly in the foyer, her teal satin dress cascading elegantly down her frame. The hours of preparation with stylists and makeup artists had led up to this moment—waiting for Chris. "I can't believe I let him talk me into this," she muttered.
Elizabeth chuckled at her daughter's nervous energy. "He's testing you, dear. He wants to show you off and see how you handle the spotlight."
A knock at the door signaled Chris's arrival. A wave of awe washed over Aisling as she caught sight of him in a black suit and vest, wearing a teal tie that perfectly matched her dress. "Wow, Chris," she breathed.
He chuckled, his eyes fixed on her. "Wow, me? You look absolutely beautiful, love. Are you ready?"
She nodded, her nerves palpable. "I think?"
Chris smiled reassuringly. "You're going to be fine. Just hold my hand."
"Okay." Aisling picked up her bag and bid her parents goodbye. As she looked at Chris and then back at her parents, she added, "I won't be coming home tonight."
Chris groaned playfully. "Aisling."
She shrugged, a hint of mischief in her eyes. "I just didn't want you to worry."
Patrick laughed heartily. "Don't fret. We're not worried. Have a great time."
Nodding appreciatively, Aisling let Chris guide her out of the house and into the back of the awaiting limo. Once seated, she noticed a blonde woman across from her.
Chris gestured to her. "Meet Megan, my publicist. She'll take care of your bag and assist you when I'm not available—showing you to your seat and such."
Aisling nodded, her anxiety still present. "But you can't leave me."
Chris took her hand, his touch reassuring. "There will be moments when they only want pictures of me. I have obligations before the movie starts and photos with the cast. It'll be okay, I promise. This isn't an everyday thing, but it's a significant part of my life, Aisling. We need to see how you handle it."
"I can do it."
He smiled warmly, his confidence in her unwavering. "I know you can. And soon we'll be in Boston, and both of us will feel more comfortable." He tenderly brushed her cheek. "Remember what I said—I can sense what you're feeling. I've just learned to conceal it. Follow my lead. If they ask you something directly, keep your answers brief or look at me, and I'll respond."
Aisling nodded, exhaling slowly. "Okay." Taking another deep breath, she watched him exit the limo and then extend his hand to her. She accepted his hand, stepping out into a whirlwind of blinding lights. Panic briefly crossed her face, but Chris's voice was soothing in her ear.
"Try not to look at the lights, love. Focus straight ahead and hold onto my hand."
She nodded, gripping his hand tightly as they navigated the red carpet. Slowly, they made their way, halting occasionally for Chris to address interview questions. To her surprise, he never let go of her hand.
"Who's the lovely lady accompanying you, Chris?"
He glanced at Aisling before addressing the interviewer. "This is my girlfriend, Aisling."
The interviewer looked at Aisling with interest. "How long have you two been together?"
Chris squeezed her hand, a small grin on his face. "Long enough." He winked at her before guiding them forward. Aisling's excitement bubbled when she spotted a band she liked. Tugging on Chris's arm, she exclaimed, "That's McFly, Chris!" When he looked puzzled, she sighed, "McFly!" She laughed as he chuckled, leading her to meet the band members, who were thrilled to meet Captain America.
Chris gestured for Aisling to stand in front of him. "Excuse us. My girlfriend is a big fan."
Embarrassment tinged her cheeks as she shook their hands, repeating their own lyrics to them. "It's all about you, it's all about you, baby." Laughter filled the air.
Tom motioned to Danny as they counted down, "3, 2, 1..."
🎵 And I would answer all your wishes, if you asked me to.
But if you deny me one of your kisses, don't know what I'd do.
So hold me close and say three words, like you used to do.
Dancing on the kitchen tiles,
Yes you make my life worthwhile,
So I told you with a smile...
It's all about you.
It's all about you
It's about you
It's all about you, baby
It's all about
It's all about you
It's about you
It's all about you🎵"Oh my god."
Chris couldn't help but laugh at Aisling's excitement. "Thanks, guys. You just made me the best boyfriend ever."
She playfully hit him on the chest, chuckling. "I can't believe I met McFly."
He grinned, teasing her, "And here you said I was a dork."
Aisling nodded, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "You are. But you're my dork."
Chris laughed, wrapping his arm around her as they walked away. "Guilty as charged."
Megan approached them, signaling that it was time to part. Chris sighed, giving Aisling a reassuring look. "We have to separate for a bit now. But I'll see you soon, okay?"
Aisling nodded, determination in her eyes. "Yes, I'm okay." She followed Megan to her seat, eyes fixed on Chris as he took the stage. Overwhelmed with pride and emotion, she watched him command the attention of the audience. Her heart fluttered when he caught her gaze, his playful wink sending a blush to her cheeks.

"Sebastian!"
Chris gestured for his friend to join them at the after party, introducing him to a still-nervous Aisling. He watched as Sebastian planted a friendly kiss on her cheek, observing her immediate blush. Chris decided to playfully intervene, gently nudging Sebastian away. "That's enough, Stan."
Sebastian chuckled, offering Aisling a warm smile. "It's nice to meet you, Aisling. Chris hasn't stopped talking about you this past week."
Aisling's blush deepened, and she responded with a shy thank you. "Thanks. Nice to meet you too, Sebastian."
Sebastian sauntered off, and Chris couldn't resist a teasing remark to Aisling. "You're adorable when you're nervous. Come on, let's dance." Leading her onto the dance floor, he observed her gaze darting around the crowd. "Look at me, love." Catching her eye, he witnessed her smile and directed her attention back to him. "Are you okay? It wasn't that bad, right?"
Aisling shook her head, newfound confidence in her demeanor. "It wasn't so bad." Leaning in closer, she whispered into his ear, her words sending a thrilling shiver down his spine. "It would be even better if you took me back to your hotel room now."
Chris emitted a soft, appreciative groan, wholeheartedly agreeing. "You're absolutely right. Let's go." An excited giggle escaped her as he smiled and led her away from the lively party.
