"Is she here?" Chris pushed past Scott to enter his apartment after returning home from the party to find it empty, Aisling nowhere in sight.
"Who? Aisling? I thought she went home."
Chris groaned, "no. She's not home, Scott! I fucked up! I need her. Please, do you know where she is?" He had to know it wasn't too late, that he didn't lose her already.
Scott scoffed, "no. I don't. And even if I did, I wouldn't tell you! You're right, you did fuck up!"
Chris plopped on the couch, trying to call her again but it went straight to voicemail. "Fuck!"
Scott sat next to his brother, texting Aisling.
Scott: Hey. Are you okay?
Aisling: I'm fine.
Tell him I don't want to talk to him right now
Scott showed Chris his phone, making him groan again. "So she'll answer you, but not me?"
He laughed, "what did you expect?!" Scott stood up from the couch, "you were a complete ass, Chris! She loves you! She came to Tara and me and asked us to help her plan something for you. I sent her to Tom to help her learn how to play a song for you. Why didn't you just trust her?"
"I know! Okay! I was feeling insecure." Chris groaned, resting his head in his hands. He finally stood up, "I'm gonna go home in case she comes back."
Scott nodded, "that's a good idea. And while you're waiting, find a way to make it up to her."

Aisling entered the house the following morning, greeted by Dodger. She knelt next to him with a smile, petting his head, "Morning, buddy." She opened the back door, letting him out, and then went upstairs to find Chris still in bed, holding onto her pillow. She sighed, removing her shoes and clothes down to her underwear. Finding the t-shirt he wore the night before on the floor next to the bed, she slipped it on before sitting on the edge of the bed next to him. She brought her hand to his hair, brushing it out of his face, and ran her hand along his cheek as she heard him whimper in his sleep. "Chris."
"Aisling. Please."
"Chris. Wake up." She nudged his shoulder, and he finally opened his eyes as he clutched onto her hand.
"Aisling!" He bolted into a sitting position as she stood up from the bed, "I'm so sorry." She nodded, moving away from him as he tried to reach for her. "Where have you been?!"
"I'm not sure you have the right to ask me that anymore. But I got a hotel room for the night." She scoffed as she rolled her eyes, crossing her arms in front of her chest. "You were a right dick to me, Chris. In front of your entire family who I'm already on thin ice with as it is."
He groaned, standing up as she moved away from him again. "I know. I'm so sorry. Please, I need to hold you. Please, love."
She looked at him with tears in his eyes. She noticed for the first time he had been crying. She groaned, "Chris."
He held his arms out, "please."
She sighed, nodding as she wrapped her arms around him, feeling him hold her firmly to his chest. "Chris."
"Shh." He groaned, sitting on the edge of the bed, not letting go.
She placed her hands in his hair as he rested his head against her chest. She sighed, kneeling on the ground in front of him, "Chris."
He leaned forward, resting his forehead on hers, "I fucked up. I thought I lost you."
"Of course not. You were a massive dick. We had a fight. I left because I was angry. But I love you, Chris."
He groaned, bringing his hands up to her cheeks, "I was. I'm so sorry. I was feeling insecure, escalating my anxiety. I let my thoughts dictate my feelings. I love you, Aisling. Please forgive me."
She sighed, "I will. I'm still mad, Christopher. You didn't trust me. How can we be in a relationship if you don't trust me? How am I supposed to trust you when you go off to do your job when you can't even trust me here at home? A home you insisted I move into, by the way."
"I know! Ugh. I'm so sorry. Please."
Before she could say anything, she felt him pull her into his lap, making her straddle him. "Chris." She felt his lips on her neck. "Chris. That isn't fighting fair."
He kissed along her jaw to her chin. "I know. I'm sorry." He alternated kisses with apologies until he found her lips.
She groaned, feeling him pulling off her shirt. She pulled his face away from hers, making him look at her. "We can't do this if you don't trust me. I'm all in here. I need you to give me the benefit of the doubt moving forward, Chris."
He groaned, nodding, "I know. I will. I promise."
She nodded, pressing her lips back to his urgently as she reached down between them, pulling his cock from his underwear. She heard him moaning as she pushed hers to the side, lowering herself onto him. She groaned as he brought his lips back to her neck, "I'm still mad at you."
He chuckled, "I know. I'll do whatever you want to make it up to you."
"Damn right you will." She moved on him urgently, not wasting any time as she brought them both quickly to climax before she rolled off of him onto the bed. "I learned how to play for you. You jerk."
He groaned, laying next to her, "I know. And you were perfect, and it was beautiful. I'm so sorry, love."
She sighed, nodding. "I was, and it was. I know."
He laughed, "I love you so much." He knelt up on the bed, "I'm a huge dick. I fucked up royally. And I embarrassed you in front of everyone. Please forgive me."
She laughed, "I need much more groveling."
He nodded, "I know. Come on. I'll sing to you? Anything."
She stood up, putting his shirt back on. "Okay. Sing to me and then make me breakfast."
He laughed, "okay, love." He put on some shorts before leading her downstairs. He sat at the piano, thinking for a minute about the song.
She sat next to him on the bench, watching him play.
🎵 And it's on me now, as you go
But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
As you turn, you take your heart and walk away🎵
He turned to her, asking, "how's that?"
She laughed, nodding, "it's a start. I love you, Chris. I only want to be with you. You have to know that. I said you were my home and I meant it. No one else."
He groaned, "I know. Me too, love. I'm so sorry."
She shook her head, "I don't want any more apologies, okay?"
He nodded, "okay. Come on, let me make you breakfast. Just promise me you won't disappear next time you're upset. No matter what, we can't walk away from each other. Please don't take your heart away from me."
She nodded as she stood up, saying, "okay. I promise."
