Orchestras and Dinner Dates

I listen to the orchestra play, and it is beyond what I ever could have imagined. Mason and I have third row seats from the pit, and it's just fantastic!

"Thank you for bringing me here," I lean over and whisper in his ear.

"You're welcome. I knew you'd love it," he says, smiling at me. We sit in silence for the last song, Mason's arm wrapped around my shoulders, and I sigh in contentment. I never would have expected to be where I am now, even a month ago. and I couldn't be happier. Granted I miss my friends dearly, but I feel as though I've made new, strong friendships with the people from this school. Once the orchestra finishes their last piece, we walk out of the theatre, and walk up the street to a quaint little diner about four blocks away. Mason intertwines our fingers, and we walk along making conversation as the breeze whips at our clothes. Reaching the diner, he holds the door for me, and I smile. I've always appreciated these small gestures that no one seems to do much anymore.
"Thank you," I say laughing. We walk to a table in the corner, and a spunky waitress comes over and asks for our order.
"I'll have a vanilla milkshake and a cheeseburger, please." Mason says.
"Umm, I'll have the same thing, please," I say, and the woman leaves to get our food.
"So how did you like the orchestra?" Mason asks me.
"I loved it. I really thought that they put on a good performance. I kind of wish they'd play something more classical than what they did though."
"Really? I thought the second and third song were fantastic. The way that they melded them together, it was very well played." I begin laughing and he looks at me with a confused expression. "Was it something I said?"
"No, it's just that every other guy I've gone out with is completely clueless when it comes to music besides ACDC."
"Is it bad that I'm not like that?"
"No! I like the fact that you understand what I'm talking about. its nice to be able to use normal English and not have to dumb it down."
The waitress comes over with our food and we start eating.
I believe that this might actually last. well hopefully.
