Explosion ~ Caitlyn x Injured!Reader!

Y/n pov-

I was standing at my post, unfortunately, I was unable to work with my girlfriend because her mum had her moved to a post closer to her tent. Her mother's poor attempt at trying to keep Caitlyn safe and secure even though she is an enforcer only builds up Caitlyns rage more. I had noticed some gunshots fired down near the docks where some kind of exchange was happening and without saying anything I quickly ran over.

When I arrive I hold my gun out and ready to fire, slowly walking aboard. Looking around there were people unconscious bodies laid on the ground, Weird marks and drawing around and purple liquid oozing from boxes. "You came quick," A voice says from behind me, I quickly turn and point my gun at the voice, a girl's small, slim image in front of me. Her hair Was a long neon blue in two braids down to her ankles "Who are you and what happened here?" I ask, never lowering my gun. "I was just leaving, the names jinx what about you?" She walks around me slowly, looking me up and down, "Y/n... Now, what happened?"

Before she could answer she pulls a metal ball looking thing out from her pocket and using her teeth she pulls the plug and throws what I only assume is a bomb at my chest, she quickly disappears and I try to throw the bomb away from me but it doesn't get far. The bomb explodes in the air only inches away from me, My body is instantly thrown back against a wall-like structure and I can feel my consciousness leaving my body. 

Pain consumes me, I hold on to the side of my torso and squeeze my eyes shut at the pain. Hissing every time I take a breath, the winds pierce my skin and the open wounds left on my body. I can't move it hurts too much I tried but nothing worked, I'm doomed.

After a few minutes of trying to keep myself awake, I can hear other enforcers running to the scene but before I can see anything else I finally lose conscience, everything goes black and my body goes limp.

I wake up in a fancy-looking Hospital room only it's not a hospital room it's one of the guest bedrooms in the kiramman's house that has been set up to help treat me. I turn my head to the side and see Caitlyn anxiously sitting there with her head resting in her hands, she is still in her enforcer uniform and I question why she hasn't changed.  "Hey sunshine" I mumble, a soft smile on my face "Omg Y/n! you're awake, oh thank god," She says, quickly joining me by my side. Her eyes are glossy and her bottom lip is slightly cracked probably from bitting them, she does that when she's anxious. She grabs my hands and cups them in her own.

"What happened?" I ask looking up at her face "There was an attack, a bomb exploded and you were in its destruction range. What were you even doing there I thought your post was elsewhere?" She questions looking down at me in confusion and concern. "I saw there was commotion down at the docks and wanted to check it out.. you know to see if everything was ok" I Giggle then hiss in pain. I look down at my side to see it bandaged up, Caitlyn caught on to my actions and spoke "The family doctor came to see you, she said you should be fine besides the broken ribs" "Oh yeah- totally just some broken ribs nothing to worry about" I said sarcastically.

She lays down next to me and snuggles close to my side, trying her best not to hurt me further. "I'm glad that you ok" I raise my eyebrow at her words choice 'ok' I thought I had a broken rib "Well you know what I mean" She giggles, and pulls the blanket up over us, and lays there in silence. It doesn't take long for me to drift off to sleep, this time when I close my eyes the pain has eased and I wasn't in a cold, blood dripping environment but instead a warm, comforting one with a gorgeous woman cuddled up next to me.
