Caitlyn's pov-

"Caitlyn come here please" My mother called from the pain room, I slowly walked out and see 4 people sitting on one of our couches, two girls and two boys. "Take a seat darling" I sit next to my parents, I was so confused about what was happening. "Caitlyn this is Mr. and Mrs. Loberts and their two kids Y/n and Elijah" My mother spoke, I awkwardly smile at them all "Hello" I was still confused.

"Elijah here is your new husband-to-be, your marriage with help us combine Piltover and their land. I have already talked to the council and we all agreed upon you are the candidate" I was shocked, my parents wanted to hand me off to some fancy man for the needs of Piltover, are they serious!? I look at the family sitting across from me in shock, looking at the boy he didn't seem too excited either. I turn to his sister that was sitting beside him, for some reason was staring at me. I didn't mind I mean she was rather pretty.

"Why don't you two run along and start to get to know each other whilst we talk," Mr. Lobert said, I stand up and so does Elijah, signaling for him to follow me "Y/n, stay close behind and keep watch please" "Yes father," the girl stands up and follows us but keeps a fair amount of distance.

I bring Elijah to one of our balconies that has outdoor seating for us to sit and talk. "I'm so sorry about all of this and don't get me wrong your a beautiful woman but I don't want to marry you" Elijah immediately speaks, getting right to the point "Don't worry, that makes two of us. I...  don't even think I really... like...  men" I admit to him "Really, cause umm I do" He nervously chuckles.

I look over at his sister, taking in as much as I could see of her. She was far away so it's not like I could see much, she was leaning over the balcony's edge staring over Piltover and all its glory. "I think I know which Lobert you would rather marry" He jokes, I look back at him shocked... 'Was it that obvious'  "If you want, I can swap places with her. as In she comes to sit with you and I stand over there" He offers "Really?" He nods his head then walks over to his sister saying a few words then pointing in my direction. I quickly fix my appearance and she begins to walk over.

Y/n pov-

"Y/n" I heard my brother speak, I was just as shocked about this whole marriage thing as he was. Neither of us has come out to our parents I mean could you imagine how they would react when finding out that not just one but both of their kids only want to date the same gender as themselves?

"Whilst our parents aren't here why don't you go shoot your shot with Caitlyn over there" He wiggles his eyebrows at me, I was confused "What are you talking about, this is your arranged marriage, not mine" "Well yes but she doesn't like men and I do so bit of a problem isn't there" He jokes "it's not going to change anything, you two still have to marry!" I quickly fight with him "So! it will mean nothing anyway so at least go and find out if you share some interests or something" "Fine" "Fine" He repeats after me, I roll my eyes and make my way over to where the girl was sitting.

"Ms. Kiramman, I was told you wanted to speak" My formal side kicked in, As always my parents had taught me that times like this were strictly about business and nothing more, that was something I had to remind myself of as I sat in front of the beautiful girl.

Her blue hair shined in the sunlight just like her eyes which were the color of diamonds. She smiles at me, a sweet, soft smile. "Please call me Caitlyn" She insists "Well then Caitlyn, how do you find my brother?" I wasn't sure if I could believe my brother when he said she isn't into men so I would find out myself. "He seems like a very nice man, with a pure heart" Ha, I knew he was lying "However I would only see those qualities in a friend way, I don't really like to... date men" Never mind I was wrong, she seemed nervous and hesitant to say the last part.

I had never had feelings for someone, so it was an odd feeling as I sat in front of this girl who had managed to take the words out of my mouth. I didn't know what to say or where to go from here, I mean who the hell catches feeling this quickly, this girl has me wiped and I've spoken only a few words to her. "This wedding, I don't know much of it, and I'm sorry you've been put in this position," I say to her, fiddling with the tablecloth hanging off the side "Don't apologize, there isn't anything you could do about it" Her voice is calm, her accent is thick much like her mothers.

Caitlyn and I had spent the rest of the evening talking, though when Elijah warned us of our parents coming to check on us we had to quickly swap places. Caitlyn and I during our time to talk found we actually had a few things in common, which helped move the conversation along well, I don't know about her but I grew quite fond of her very quickly and I could tell watching her have to go through this whole wedding thing was already going to be hard.

Time skip to the wedding day (Month later)

Caitlyn and I had found numerous times to meet up and talk in the past week and I think the two of us were both aware of our feeling for each other.

However the day had come for my brother and her to get married, a day I had been breeding more and more as it arrived. I was with Caitlyn while she was getting ready, she walks out of the bedroom into the main room she was getting ready in wearing her wedding dress. It was absolutely gorgeous, like a dress a princess would wear, her hair was in a bun with a few loose pieces that were curled, and she was staring at herself in the mirror, fixing any impurities she saw.

I didn't know what to say, how to react, she looked breathtaking, and I had no words. She then turns to look at me with a nervous smile, I know this isn't easy on her and yet she puts on a smile and deals with it "How do I look?" She asks me, I stand from my seat and slowly walk over to her. No one else was in the room right now, it was just us "You look... wow" I breathe out, as I take in every detail of how she looks, her soft effortless glow, her charming smile as she watches me, the dress and how well it complements her and looks on her. "That's it?" She jokes, a soft laugh following her words.

I take a deep breath and speak without thinking "You can't marry him" I tell her, locking eyes with her as she looks at me confused "I don't have a choice" "yes you do, don't marry him, we both know that neither of you wants this, we both know there is so much more for you to so before you settle down" I explain to her "Y/n... even if I wanted to I can't back out, I would never be forgiven, my parents will forever hate me" "What is hate when you're forced into a loveless marriage, either way, someone will resent the other there is no escaping it. So why not make the choice for yourself, don't marry Elijah, and you and me we can... we can leave and find somewhere better to go, somewhere where we are free" I try to convince her the best I can, I don't want her to get married to Elijah, she doesn't want to get married to Elijah so who am I to not try and convince her to do something we both know she wants to do more.

"I..." She lets out a deep breath and then turns back to look at the mirror "I don't know" She answers unsurely, I nod my head and then go over to stand next to her. "Do you feel something for me?" I have never been more straightforward in my life "What?" "Do you, Caitlyn Kiramman, feel something, anything for me; beyond being friends?" I question, turning her body so she looks at me and then holding her hands In mine. "y-yes" She stutters "Then why do this!? This is 100% your choice, no one can force you into a marriage, not really" "I know it's just, it's what is right, for Piltover and your citizens, and-" "That isn't our responsibility! That is our parents, they made that choice to be in charge not us so it is up to them to sort these things out without using their kids as pieces on a chess board" I fight her, needing her to listen and understand my points.

There is a long silence, nothing is dead for a while. I would have said more but she looked like she was thinking so I left her to think.

"So what do we do?"
