The run around our territory was relaxing. Aruna and I loved running free without holding back. We got to run when we were with our other pack, but we always had to change or hide our scent. We always hid our true colors so that we didn't grab attention as well.

Slowing down to a trot I caught the scent of apples. I followed my nose and came across a circle of trees with a meadow like the one we used to rest at when we left the pack. I change back to human and look at Elijah.

"Has this always been here?" I ask him pointing to the trees.

"Not that I know of." He says looking at it with a tilt of his head.

"I feel a pull to walk into the meadow," Johan says.

" It feels just like the last spot. It feels secure like this is a space only we can access." I say walking to the meadow.

I break the circle of trees and the scent of apple blossoms fill the moonlit air. Moonlit? It was the middle of the day before I walked in here. I look at Johan and Elijah and they look as lost as I am.

"Okay this is officially weird." Johan says

"I agree. Maybe we shouldn't be here." Elijah says

"If you weren't here how else would I be able get a good look at my amethyst wolf?" a voice says.

We all turn to see a luminous woman that came from nowhere. She's not an ordinary woman either. The aura of magic around her was strong. She also looks like she's been around a long time and seen a lot of things.

Elijah takes a risk and asks. "Who are you? Where are we?"

She looks at me and I feel the weight of the world focus directly at me. "With the gift I gave you and you don't remember me? I created this space with my magic so we have time. No one can bother us here and you can leave whenever you're ready." She says letting that sink in.

Gift she gave me? Is she trying to say she's the Moon Goddess Elara? OH MY GOD.

She smiles when I figure it out. "I'm glad you grew to be smart as well as beautiful"

"Goddess Elara....I'm honored." I say bowing my head. Elijah and Johan are just as shocked. They bow their heads as well.

She waves her hand and says. "Enough of that. I was never one for all that bowing and scraping. Whoever told you I was is a filthy liar...probably my sister Terra she is a jealous bitch but I love her."

I was an only child so I could only look on as a child at other kids and their siblings. The fact that I had this gene put my parents off having more pups.

"Enough about her. Violet, I have something to admit to you. Please don't be angry, I was only trying to help."

That put me on alert because gods and goddesses meddling in your life tends to backfire.

"When I decided to take a walk through the forest that night and stumbled upon you I only saw a child in need. When I peaked at your future I saw promise. Once I gifted

Aruna to you it became more interesting."

"Interesting how?" I ask.

"I know what you are going through right now and what's to come. I am forbidden from interfering."

"What's coming?" Elijah asks.

"That I can't tell you because it could change the outcome. You need to trust yourselves and the children to come."

"You mean your however many times great grandchildren?" Johan says.

I glare at him, and he shrugs, "I mean essentially she's your grandmother."
