A week and a half has gone by, 11 days in fact, since I last saw Clifford. It is my fault though. I mean he'll call me, I just don't answer. He'll send me text messages, I erase them without even reading them. He still sends me lilies, but I continue throwing them out my window. I still haven't gone to talk to Maloni Crood, I needed to get on that. I just needed to stop moping around my flat, It was time to get back to work.

I groaned loudly as I rolled over in bed, I hadn't been sleeping well lately. It was like my brain never wanted to shut off, it was annoying. I stood up and walked into the kitchen, " Morning Mel, you've got another delivery " Delilah smiled from behind the counter. I rolled my eyes and scratched the top of my head, another vase sat on the table. " Orange and Yellow, like a sunrise... or sunset " Delilah sighed, I simply nodded as I picked up the small card that was with them. _ I miss you _, it read. " It's sweet Mel. He's still thinking about you " Delilah stated from right behind me, I let out a sigh of frustration and picked up the vase. I started walking toward one of the windows, " Melody! You are Not throwing another vase out, you're gonna get us thrown out of this flat, so just stop! " Delilah shouted ( And she never shouted or even yelled ). I let out a deep sigh as I set them back down, " I'm sorry.... " I sighed looking down. " Mel, it's okay. You're just hormonal " Delilah chuckled, I rolled my eyes and sighed " So, I'll be leaving soon. I'm going to talk with someone about the case ". She stared at me dumbfounded " I thought you weren't on that case anymore? ", I shrugged " Technically I'm not, but I need to prove that these guys aren't the killers. Delilah, nobody else cares about this case, I just have to do this ", she smiled " I know, you're very passionate about this. So, when do we leave? ". I raised an eyebrow " We? ", " You're not going alone,  this person, could be a crazy person! And I'm a writer Mel, I'm probably an amazing actress too " she stated ( This is why she was my best friend ). " Okay, but don't interrupt me when I'm talking to this person. Because remember, I can tell when people are lying to me and I don't want you asking any unnecessary questions " I stated pointing my finger at her, she threw her hands up " I won't ".

" Why do I have to wear this Mel? I'm uncomfortable!! " Delilah complained pulling at the clothes I gave her to wear, " Because if you're gonna pass as a detective, you have to dress the part, stop moaning " I groaned. She sighed " But pant suit's are so unflattering ", I rolled my eyes " Del, you're not trying to impress anyone. You're only going to pretend to be my partner ". She nodded                    " Speaking of partners, have you spoken to Ash? ", I shook my head " I'm still mad at him ". She groaned " Oh it's been over a week, Mel... get over it! ", I rolled my eyes " No ". " You're so stubborn Mel " she sighed shaking her head, it only caused me to smirk ( Because it was so true ). I've always been like that, I never listen to what people have to say.

Delilah and I sat in my car, staring out at a dirty white house, the shutters were hanging off the windows, it just looked bad. " Are you sure this is the address, because this is freaking me out, I'm not sure I wanna go in there " Delilah whispered, I let out a deep sigh " This is it, but I agree. It looks like it should be in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre ". Delilah gasped " Please, don't say that! ", I chuckled and put my hand on her shoulder " Don't worry, it'll be fine... I'm a real detective, remember ".

I knocked twice on white stained door and waited, Delilah stood nervously behind me. A thick necked man opened the door with a scowl on his face, " Yes? " he growled. " Hi, is there a, Maloni Crood here? " I asked as if I weren't afraid ( Because I wasn't ), the guy quickly nodded and opened the door for us to enter. " She's in the living room, feeding the boy " he stated, I nodded once as I entered the house, with Delilah on my tail.  We walked into the living room, where a skinny, pale woman was sitting in an arm chair, feeding a small child. Her hair was all over the place, I could tell she was stressed out, I had pity for her. " Well, It's been a while since the police came snooping around here " she croaked, I sighed " Ms. Crood, we're not the police, we're just detectives. We were wondering if we could ask you a few questions about the murder of your sister, Celia ". She stared at me with a confused and emotionless look, before nodding. Delilah and I sat on a lumpy couch and I pulled out my small notepad, Delilah mimicked my actions, I knew she'd take notes, she's  the writer after all. " So, why are you here? My sister was murdered years ago and I thought the case was closed, her boyfriend did it " Maloni stated handing the baby to the thick necked man, " Well, we're working on a case now and we think it may be connected to your sisters case " I stated calmly, she only nodded with a dead look on her face. " Can you run through the events of that night again? " I asked, " Well, all I remember is, being in my bedroom doing my homework. When I started hearing Celia screaming for me, I paid no attention to it. I thought she was screaming at her boyfriend, because he'd always come over when my parents were gone, they didn't like him. He'd always come over just to fight with her. So I continued doing my homework and then I played with my dolls after, then at 11 pm I went to bed without even knowing my sister was lying dead in the house " Maloni stated without any emotion, it was scary, like she didn't care. I glanced at Delilah and then back at Maloni, " You know, I remember you. You lived across the street when it happened, you had all those brothers. You look the same, well except you have dark red hair now " Maloni stated pointing to me. All I did was nod, I pulled out my phone pretending to get an incoming call. " I'm sorry, I need to take this.. " I sighed standing up, then pretending to talk to someone. " I'm sorry Ms. Crood, but we've got to get back to the office. We're sorry for your loss " I stated pulling Delilah up off the couch, Maloni nodded, still with that dead look in her eyes.
