" She looks so....so pale... so sick..... " I heard my little brother Frankie sigh, " Well Frankie, she got shot, she lost a lot of blood " Ashton sighed sounding sad. " Will she ever wake up? " Hunter, my nephew whispered. It literally broke my heart, but I couldn't force myself to open my eyes yet. I heard my mum sob loudly, was my whole family in the room?. " Of course she will buddy, we just have to think positive " Chase told his son, " But it's been a week Dad, you said she'd be awake by now " Jayden ( Hunters Twin ) shouted. " Chase, I think it's time to take the children home, let's give some other people a chance to visit with her " my mum cried,  " Alright. Hunter, Jayden grab your jackets " Chase sighed. I heard the door open, then it was silent. So I thought I was alone, I was awake, I just didn't want to face anyone just yet. I opened my eyes slightly, noticing that Logan and Ashton were still in the room. I quickly squeezed my eyes shut, not wanting to have the conversation that would take place. " You might as well open your eyes Mel, we know you're awake " Logan sighed, I let out a frustrated groan as I opened my eyes. I only wanted to see one person right now, just to make sure she was safe.

I stared at them for a few minutes, before someone finally spoke up, breaking the weird tension in the room. " What were you thinking? How could you be so stupid? You could've gotten killed!! " Logan shouted, " Well Logan, I would've gotten killed for Delilah. She is my best friend, if I would've let her get hurt, everyone would hate me. I would hate me, I'd never forgive myself. So that's what I was thinking " I stated glaring at him, " Now, will you leave, because I only want to see one person right now ". Logan sighed, but nodded. " Fine, I'll get her, come on Ash " Logan mumbled walking out the door, Ashton rubbed the back of his neck " We're gonna talk about all this later ". I nodded, watching him leave the room as well. I stared up at the chalk white ceiling, I had more than one tube running out of me, I had pain in my upper chest and in my abdomen. I just prepared myself to cry, because I knew Delilah would be crying.

The door flew open as Delilah rushed in and practically jumped in bed with me, she pulled me into a tight hug. " You bitch, you can't do things like that, don't ever try to risk your life for me, ever again " she sobbed into my shoulder, I sighed " But you're my best friend ". She chuckled, " I know and thank you. How do you feel? " she asked. I pulled away and sighed " Sore ", she nodded " Well, you got shot twice and you lost a lot of blood ". I let out a deep sigh " And Maloni? ", she wiped the tears off of her face " Her and that guy got arrested, they're still in jail ". I nodded letting out a deep sigh of relief. " And...? " I asked looking down at my hands, I didn't have to finish the sentence, she just knew what I was talking about. " He hasn't visited. I think he's afraid he'll get caught, or maybe that you won't want to see him... But, he's been staying at our flat, in your room " she stated with a small smile, I nodded " Why though? D, it's not like he and I could ever be together ". " Oh shut up Mel, you know you like him " she scoffed, I rolled my eyes " Well Duh, but what if he ends up like Sean? ". She shook her head, " He's exlained everything to me, he's liked you forever basically. He won't " she stated in a serious tone. I sighed, she was probably right I just couldn't admit it. " Does everyone hate me? " I asked, she chuckled " Of course not silly ". I nodded, " Do you want me to get a nurse? " she finally asked. " Yes, please " I smiled, she nodded standing up and walking out the door.

Seconds later, Delilah walked back into the room, followed by a nurse and a doctor. " Hello Miss Rae, how are you feeling? Are you in any pain? " the nurse asked, ( Of course I'm in pain, I got shot! ) I nodded " Yeah, I'm in a bit of pain ". Her and the doctor both nodded, " We'll get something for the pain. Do you know what happened to you? " the doctor asked. I stared at him strangely " I got shot ", he sighed deeply " True, but the second bullet went through your appendex. So, just letting you know, we've had to remove it. Other than that, the rest of your organs were not harmed ". I nodded " I realize I just woke up, but when do you think I'll be able to leave? " ( I hated Hospitals ), he chuckled " It all depends on how you do, you will need to stay for at least a week though. So,  maybe it'll  only be a week ". I let out a deep sigh and nodded, " Can I get you anything else? Are you hungry? " the nurse asked. I shook my head " I'm okay for now ", she smiled while walking out of the room.
