Cosmos' P.O.V.
After dinner was over a Slytherin prefect told me that dad needed me in his office. I walked to dad's office and knock on the door. "Come in." I hear and I walk in to see dad at his desk. He looks up at me and his eyes soften. "I'm guessing you read my thoughts?" I ask quietly. I hear dad sigh. "Yes I did. Son tell me are you gay?" Dad asks and I look at him in confusion. "What?" I ask confused.
He soon starts to tell me all about the LGBTQ community. "Is that all?" I ask. "Yes. So son are gay?" He asks since I know what it means now. "I guess because I never found myself being attracted to a girl ever." I said. "Your mother will probably be mad but I can calm her down. I mean I told her all about the muggle world." Dad said. "Dad, do you think mom will disown me?" I ask. "No, because she loves you." Dad said.
"Dad." I say and he turns to me. "Yes, Cos?" Dad asks. "I think Cassie is going to be a lesbian because I saw her looking at a girl." I answer and he looks at me. "Are you sure?" He asks and I nod. "Okay. Go back to your common room. The Slytherin Prefect is waiting outside." Dad said and I leave the room. Myself and the prefect walk in complete silence. I can tell he wanted to ask something. "You can go ahead ask me what you want to ask." I said.
"How'd you know?" He asks. "Mother taught us how to read others emotions and how they act." I answered. "Oh." He said. "But go ahead and ask away." I said. "Is Professor Snape really your father?" He asks. "Yes." I said. "Okay. My name is Damon Scott." Damon said. "Nice to meet you Damon, I'm Cosmos or Cos for short." I said holding out my hand which he shakes.
*The Next Day*
I was woken up from my sleep by Cyrus, Draco, Crabbe, Goyle, Zabini and Nott. We got dressed and walked to the Great Hall. I see Cassie with Daphne Greengrass, Millicent Bulstrode, Pansy Parkinson, Astoria Greengrass and Tracey Davis. We walkedover to them and sat down. Cassie hugs me and Cyrus which we gladly return. "Hello, girls." I say. "Hey Cosmos." Tracey Davis, a friend of Pansy said.
I grabbed whatever I wanted and started eating. "Hey Cos what did dad want to talk to you about?" Cassie asks in a whisper. "He just wanted to tell me something that mother forgot to tell me." I lied and I can feel dad's gaze on me. After we were done eating we went to our first class which was Transfiguration with the Gryffindors. Apparently Ron Weasley and Harry Potter were late to class. My next class was Potions and it was with the Gryffindors again.
"There will be no follish wand-waving or silly incantations in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact are that is potion-making. However, for those select few... who possess the predisposition, I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory and even put a stopper..... in death." Dad said looking at me, Cyrus, Cassie and Draco for the last part.
We raise our eyebrows. Dad sees Harry Potter, writing what dad said in his lecture down, in, his view, not paying attention.
"Then again, maybe some of you have come to Hogwarts in possession of abilities so formidable that you feel confidant enough to not.....pay......attention." Dad said raising his voice and I see Cassie shrink in her seat scared. Dad slowly walks over towards Potter to where he can speak to Potter more properly.
"Mr Potter. Our.....new....celebrity. Tell me, what would I get if I added powered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?" Dad asks.
Myself, Cyrus, Cassie and Granger all raise our hands and Potter shrugs.
"You don't know? Well, let's try again. Where, Mr Potter would you look if I asked you to find me a bezoar?" Dad asks again. And again myself, Cyrus, Cassie and Granger raise our hands. "I don't know sir." Harry answersagain
"And what is the difference between monkshood and wolfbane?" Dad asks again. "I don't know sir." Harry said. "Pity. Clearly fame isn't everything.... is it, Mr Potter?" Dad said while myself, Draco, Cassie and Cyrus smirk.
"Clearly, Hermione, Cyrus, Cosmos or Cassiopeia know. Since its a pity not ask them." Harry said causing Hermione to look surprised as everyone except myself, my siblings, Draco and his friends to laugh.
"Silence." Dad said. He turns to Potter, looking a bit insulted; Potter seemingly gulps. Dad then walks over to his desk. Hermione who still has her hand up and we put ours down after what Potter said to my father.
"And put your hand down, you silly girl." Dad said irritated. "For your information, Potter...asphodel and wormwood make a sleeping potion so powerful, it is known as the Draught of Living Death. A bezoar is a stone taken from the stomach of a goat and it will save you from poisons. As for monkshood and wolfbane, they are the same plant, which also goes by the name of aconite. Well? Why aren't you all copying this down?" Dad explains.
When classes were over I went back to the Common Room where my siblings, Draco and our friends. "You got a letter from mother." Cassie said handing me my letter. I go up to my room to read it and the others just ignore what I do going back to do whatever they were doing. I open my letter and start to read it.
Dear, Cosmos
Your father told me about your conversation last night. I fully support you a hundred percent. I was mad at first but soon he explained that everyone is born different. When I growing up I was told, every girl had to marry a man and every man had to marry a woman. But whoever has caught your heart I will accept the relationship. And I'm glad you got Slytherin along with Cassiopeia and Cyrus. I thought you were going to be in Hufflepuff because how sweet you are sometimes. I think you may convince the hat to put you in Slytherin.

I smile and write back to her and soon my owl Ash appears. "Send this to mother." I said and he soon disappears. I change into my pjs and soon fall asleep.
