Arthur
"The decision is in your hands now surgeon but let me tell you that your one wrong move can destroy everything. Now tell me, you still won't work for me?"
Eventhough I haven't replied him yet but I already see the victory in his eyes.
I don't know what to say but one thing is very clear, one wrong decision that I'll make right now could make me regret my whole life.
I know my parents need me right now, I know what our business means to my dad, I know that my mom would be needing a proper treatment but at the same time I also know that I can't do what Paul wants me to do.
"I... need some time, to umm..think," I manage to speak, without looking at his evil face.
"Yeah sure surgeon, take your time." He takes his phone, making a call to someone.
"Yeah, I want you to show my surgeon his room, yeah, right now, thanks."
I silently watch him, glued to my spot.
"Dr. Sarah will show you your room. Tell her if you need anything and don't forget to tell me your answer tomorrow. I hope you make a wise decision."
.
.
."Here is your room,"
She opens the door and leads me inside. The room isn't very large, with only a bed and a small table and an attached bathroom.
"I've already set your closet, you can take a shower if you want to, meanwhile I'll bring you food."
"You...um, you also work here?"
I ask as she's about to leave.
She turns around and chuckles.
"Yes, I work here." She sighs and walks towards me. "I want to give you an honest advice right now Dr. Hart, just start working here before it gets too late."
"I can't believe this," I walk to sit on the bed, not breaking the eye contact. "Instead of telling me to do the right thing you are telling me to stoop this low. Do you think it's easy, isn't it a big deal for you to kill innocent people and sell their body parts just for the sake of money. Don't you have your conscience telling you that how pathetic you've become."
She stands there, looking at me with no expression on her face.
"No Dr. Hart. I don't think it's a big deal to kill someone and sell their body parts as long as it's saving someone else's life, for every one person that we discard here, one person out there gets to live their life. This reality is enough for me to do what I am doing without feeling any shame."
"Unbelievable. I hope one day you realize how disgusting your mindset is Dr. Sarah."
She laughs, walking to where I am sitting right now. She puts a hand on my shoulder after sitting next to me.
"I hope one day you realize that this is exactly how the world works. "

.3rd Person
Mrs. Hart is pacing around her living room while her husband is busy in making calls here and there to get any information about his son.
"I can't believe this, it's been two days and we are still unable to know his location."
She lashes out at her husband, not being able to control her emotions anymore.
"Honey, you know I'm trying. I am trying my best and that's all we can do. Don't worry, I've informed the police and they're looking for him. Please control yourself."
He tries to relax his wife, making her sit on the couch.
"You know he is our only son. I don't know, do whatever you can. I want my Arthur please-"
She stops when her husband's phone starts ringing.
"It's the police." Mr. Hart instantly picks up the call.
"Mr. Hart, we've looked through the whole city, everywhere that we could but there's no signs of your son anywhere. We've investigated in his hospital as well but his chief said that he hasn't been on his duty for two consecutive days."
"What exactly are you trying to tell me officer?" Mr. Hart inquires.
"In simple words, I am sorry but we couldn't find your son."
There's a short interval of silence on both sides.
"But we'll keep looking for him. As soon as we find anything we'll let you know. Take care sir."
And he hangs up.
"What did he say?"
His wife asks eventhough she already had a hunch as she heard the conversation.
"There's no good news-"
"That's all my fault."
Mrs. Hart breaks down, crying as she grabs her husbands arm for support.
"I hurt him, a lot. I shouldn't have said all those things to him. I should've supported him but I just-"
"Please stop crying, we'll talk later, come-"
Her husband tries to calm her down but it doesn't help.
"No, let me say this today. All his life he's ever asked for was our support and appreciation which we never gave him. Do you remember how upset he was the last time he visited us. His words are still in my mind. I am leaving and this time I am never coming back."
She cries even harder as she slides onto the floor.
"Please, please find him. I'll never say those things again. I'll tell him how proud I am of him, please do something. We've already lost Sean, now we can't lose him."

ArthurI scanned the whole room but there's not a single way of escaping this room except for the door and to my luck it's also locked from outside.
Frustrated, I sigh and fall back onto the bed.
I wonder how my parents are right now. I miss them a lot but my heart pangs when I recall our last encounter. I shouldn't have left the house like that. I hate myself for doing that but again who knew I was going to end up like that.
Just then, the door opens.
Carter enters with a tray of food in his hands.
"Come on, eat something."
He places the tray on the bed side table.
"I am not hungry," I sit up as I watch him bring the tray to me.
"You should eat anyways,"
And then to my surprise, he brings a spoonful to my mouth.
"Stop acting like my mom and fuck off," I don't know from where it came from but I am really frustrated right now.
I was waiting for his reaction but surprisingly it never came.
"I warned you," he places the tray back on the side table. "Didn't I tell you to run away doctor."
"So you're telling me that you tried to help me,"
He nods.
"Well, thank you because it really helped me. Now get lost if you have nothing else to say."
I can't believe he still doesn't react. Why is he acting so good all of a sudden?
He gets up and makes his way out of the room but stops when I call him from behind.
"Let me out of here, that's the only good you can do to me."

Now that my exams are over and I have like a two weeks off, I'll try to finish this book as soon as possible.
