Arthur

What the hell are these two traitors doing here????

I clench my fists tightly in order to control my emotions right now.

Breathing deeply, I try to calm my nerves and act normal.

"Your order please?"

I look down, gripping my pen tightly.

"Fuck that. We're leaving."

Pushing me away, he pulls Lisa with her and rushes out of the restaurant.

I watch them, from the window, getting in their luxurious car and driving away as if I were a curse to them.

I didn't realise that I've been staring at the window for how long but I came back to my senses where Renee, my colleague, calls me from behind.

"Are you okay Arthur?"

I didn't know what to say, so I just remove my apron and ask her to take care of everything before leaving this place.

The fresh air helps a little in relaxing my nerves but it still wasn't enough to wash away this burning sensation inside me.

I walk aimlessly until I accidentally push someone.

"I am sor-"

"Arthur?" It's Dr. Aria. "Are you okay?"

I see she's with a guy and they're walking hands in hands.

I just look away, pretending that it's not bothering me, and start walking again as I don't wanna create any scene here in middle of the road.

"Arthur, listen-"

I turn around and surprisingly she followed me and even more surprising is that the guy isn't with her anymore.

"What do you want?"

I cross my arms and ask rudely.

"Can we talk please, I know-"

"As far as I remember, I didn't have an appointment with you today."

She walks a little closer. "I know, but let's not talk as a doctor and patient, let's talk as friends today."

She looks at me hopefully, her hair smoothly moving with the breeze and a certain sparkle in her beautiful eyes is making it difficult for me to reject her.

Get a grip you stupid man! I curse myself.

"Okay, let's go."

I finally surrender.

We are sitting in a park currently, in complete silence, for about ten to fifteen minutes now but it's so peaceful. As if we're talking in silence and sharing all the stuff we keep buried inside us.

"Do you ever wonder why did God create us?

She breaks the silence, still starting at the view as I turn my face towards her.
