Resting his head in his hands, Louis sighed softly.

"Louis, are you alright?" Jay's soft voice startled Louis, and he looked up quickly to see his mum hovering in the doorway.

"Yeah, I'm alright," he said, smiling weakly. She raised an eyebrow disbelievingly, and Louis' smile fell. "I guess I'm just worried I'll fuck something up while I'm there, and Harry won't like me."

His mum smiled sympathetically, coming to sit down beside him. "Why would you think that's likely to happen?"

Louis shrugged. "Just a feeling. I know I'm probably worrying about nothing, but still."

"Have you ever had any reason to think he might not like you?"

"Well, no, but—,"

"There you go then," Jay said firmly. "I know you're worried, but it'll be alright. You two will get along perfectly, as you always do, and it'll be an amazing ten days, okay?"

Louis nodded hesitantly, twisting his fingers together. "I know you're probably right, I just don't want something to go wrong because we don't get along for some reason."

His mum smiled softly, brushing Louis' fringe out of his face. "It'll be alright. You've never had a problem before, right? So there's no reason to expect one now."

Louis sighed softly, a smile spreading over his lips as a buzz of excitement zipped through his body, and he looked up at his mum. "I'm really seeing him," he whispered, a childish glee in his voice. "He's gonna be right in front of me with all of his... Harry-ness."

His mum pulled him into a hug, breaking away after a moment with a proud grin. "Good luck with him okay?" she said, and Louis couldn't help but feel like she didn't just mean getting along with Harry. It didn't help that she added a not-so-sly wink afterwards.

Laughing quietly, Louis smoothed his jumper, pulling his suitcase towards him and standing up straight as he looked at the clock. "I should get going so I don't miss my train."

Jay hummed in agreement, pulling him into one last tight embrace. Eventually, she released him, shooing him towards the door. "Alright, alright, I'll let you go. I love you."

"Love you too Mum," Louis said.

Thirty five minutes later, Louis stood on the train station platform, waiting to board the train. He startled when the loudspeaker called for "ALL PATRONS ON THE TRAIN TO REDDITCH, BOARD NOW," hurrying to get ahead of the crowd heading his way. Soon enough, he was seated on the train, staring out the window as the train began to pull out of the station, their surroundings blurring.

Soon.
