*Daya's POV*
She's really scaring me. Mio has been sleeping a lot recently. She gets annoyed easily now and her depression has come back. Luke and Calum just think it's her period. It's not her fucking period because this has been going on for a week.
I know her cycle; it ended a couple of days before Calum and Mio's first date. So, it would be completely impossible for her to still be on it. I've called the doctor's office earlier and they said to bring her in around four today. It was now two.
"How is she?" I queried Calum.
He's been taking care of her a ton in the past week. Cal made sure she ate and took her showers. He never went in the bathroom with her without permission. What a gentleman!
Whenever Mio was sad he would cuddle her and they'd fall asleep together in her bed. I thought it was the cutest thing ever because he kept her smiling a lot.
"She's alright. Mio asked me when her birthday was," Calum saddened.
"Damn. Is that normal for her?" Luke asked concernedly.
"No, it's not. I'm gonna bring her to the doctors at four. Please come with me," I spoke with slight emotion.
The boys nodded and we waited.

"What is your relation to Mrs. Jones?" The nurse asked me.
"I'm her sister, he's her boyfriend, and this is my boyfriend and her best friend," I could care less at Luke's surprised face when I said this.
I need him in there with me and I honestly don't care if I have to lie.
"Alright, go into the room on the left. Thank you," the secretary's voice had no emotion.
I rolled my eyes and the three of us walked to door. I gulped, now noticing my throat was patched. I shivered and my thoughts began to race.
What if something is terribly wrong with her and we can't fix it??
Luke looked at me and slowly opened the door.
I froze when I saw her. Mio was sitting on the patient's table with her back slouched and her head down. The girl closed and opened her fists at a slow pace; she always did this whenever anger flowed through her bones. The doctor just looked at us with a smile and nudged us in.
"Would you like to tell them?" The doctor nodded over to us.
Mio just sat there; her face blank.
"Okay, then. Did you know Mrs. Jones had attained a brain tumor?"
My mouth dropped and a whimper came out. A brain tumor? Luke embraced me in a hug.
Please be a dream.
"H-how?" Calum muttered.
The room was silent for a moment and then the doctor cleared his throat.
"Her file says that she had fell out of a tree and rushed to the emergency room when she was younger. Doctors operated on her and at the time, I'm guessing they didn't think a tumor would form. Did you know that this happened?"
The boys shook their head, but I laughed dryly, "It always got her into trouble."
"What do you mean?" Luke questioned.
"Mio forgets things because of it. I was ecstatic when she remembered my birthday this year," I nod and my eyes widen, "Is there a way to fix it?"
"I'm sorry, but it's too late now. If the signs had shown earlier and she would have came, we could have saved her. I'm sorry."
