*Daya's POV*

"Was I really that annoying?" I muttered to myself as I passed the two love birds to get to the kitchen.

Mio and Matthew have been dating for the past three months and he's been spending the last two months here. At first it was fine, we all played Just Dance, which was cool, but now it's just annoying. They are always snuggling on the couch or he's holding her waist. Yeah it's cute and all, but that shit gets tiring.

"Hey, babe?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you get me a soda? Please?" Matthew begged.

Mio sighed and went to the kitchen where I was.

"Wow, Mrs. Lazy is actually doing something for her man?" I make a smart remark.

Mio is a lazy person and she loves it. She rarely ever does stuff like this.

"I needed to stretch anyways," The girl smiles at me.

"Are you sure, missy? Because last time I checked, the only times you ever do something is for another person you either care or in love," My eyebrows rose in curiosity.

Her eyes widened, "Am I in love?"

She was going to go in denial.

"Do you think about him a lot?"

Mio nodded.

"Do you feel like marrying him?"

The girl gulped and slightly nodded.

"Well, would you take a bullet for him?"

Her mouth went a gape and her face saddened.

"I think I'm in love, Day. I don't wanna be."

"And why not?" Matthew appeared in the doorway.

"Because, I don't like the feeling. Here's your dumb soda," Mio threw the can at the boy and he swiftly caught it.

"Well, Mi-ska, you're gonna have to deal with it until one of us is dead," Matthew pulled her into a hug and I gagged. "Oh, shut up, Daya!" He laughed.

I smiled and went to my room. I opened up my laptop and went on Tumblr. After a minute, my phone rings and Luke's ID appeared on the screen. I smile and answered it.

"Hey!"

"Hallo, gurl!" Four voices could be heard from the other end.

"We haven't talked since forever! How are y'all?"

"Good!" Michael speaks.
"We are on our way back home from tour!" Ashton says excitedly.
"How's Mio?" Calum questions.

"She's good. The girl finally has a boyfriend!"

"Wait-I thought she was single?" Calum is only heard now and sounds hella sad.

"She was until three months ago. Mio's in love. Sorry, buddy."

"Is he a good guy?"

"Seems so far. I don't think they'll last though because he broke her heart back in high school."

"Why would she get back with him!? That's stupid!" Calum groans in anger.

"I know it is. He's like a manipulator of words and like he's planning something. I told her to wait for you."

"You told her I like her!?"

"So, you really do like the girl!"

"Uhm, yeah. But don't tell her!"

"My mouth's shut until told otherwise!"

"Good. I wanna tell her myself, so don't try anything!" Calum stopped talking and Luke began talking again.

"Calum is really pissed about it. But, you're still single right?"

"Yes, Luke, I am," a giggle escapes my lips.

"Good. So, how long has it been since we met?"

I counted the months on my fingers, smiling,"Four months. When are you going to visit?"

"Me? I'm not sure when by myself. But I know Calum and I are gonna visit in February which is like three months from now. Can you wait that long?"

"If you can wait that long then I can. Plus, I need to do some shopping anyways."

"Why don't you wait until I come so you could model them for me?"

My eyes widened and my face flushed. Holy shit. He's flirting with me!

"Luke!" I squeal.

He chuckles, "I gotta go. I'll text you when I can. Bye, love!"

Did I just melt to death?

•••

An empty soap bottle was thrown out the front door as a boy ducked.

"You need to chill out, Mio!" Matthew stood tall, walking in my direction.

Once he saw me, my face was automatically filled with hate and disgust. His was fear.

"Oh, hey, Daya! How are you?" He spoke with a high pitch.

"I'm great," I growled.

Matthew nodded and ran down the stairs. I took a deep breath and peeked into the doorway; Mio was in a ball on the ground.

"Mi, I'm home," I said gently, slowly creeping up to her.

"Day!" The girl jumped up and enveloped me into a hug.

We usually never hug.

"What did the prick do?" The girl released and wiped her face.

"I asked the stupid bitch to make me something to eat and he said go make it yourself. That had me real pissed, y'know? And then he laughs it off and grabs Cheetos for me to eat. But guess what, he ate the entire bag! His fat ass self needs to fucking stop eating!

"I then tell him what I think he should do and he tells me to stop being a bitch. A bitch?! How am I a bitch when I told him this shit like he was a five year old!? Ugh, Jesus Christ!" The girl pauses and sits on the couch.

"He then mumbles something on the lines of me being bitch because I'm on my period. So I slapped him. I mean you don't say that shit to girls! So then we started fighting," Mio shrugs and takes a sip of a drink that was on the coffee table.

"Do you want me to beat him up?"

"Please?"

See, Mio was one of those people who if someone was fighting for her, she wouldn't hold them back. She's someone who relies on her enemy's pain in battle.

I laugh and go to the kitchen.

"What flavor?" I called out, grabbing all the materials.

"Birthday Cake?"

Luckily we have enough for the both of us and I began to make us bowls.

"So," I honestly didn't want to ask her this question I had in mind, but I needed to know.

"Yeah?"

"Are you two breaking up?"

There was a short silence until she spoke up, "Day, to be honest, I'm not even sure. Usually I am on these kinds of things. That was our first fight."

Mio began to eat her ice cream and so do I.

"Well, look. If you just so happen to want to stay with the asshole. Go ahead. But if there is one more fight worse than this shit; then he's out."

We've been around this topic when I was dating Kaleb. Sadly it didn't work, but maybe for her it will.
