DOUXIE CASPERAN

In that moment I was glad that Angelique was on our side.

As she jumped into the fray, there was like a mini hurricane or typhoon around her, and either the brave or the dumb Gumm-Gumms approached her. Her celestial bronze blades were a blur, disintegrating them into ash. She looked lethal.

"Douxie! Behind you!"

I whirled around and blasted a berserker into a heap of crumbling stone.

"Thanks!" I yelled back to Angelique.

ANGELIQUE LE

I would never admit it, but Douxie looked quite scary.

"Ha, ha! Always hated those twits!" he laughed while taking out three berserkers all at once.

My eyes were glowing green, which seemed to confuse a lot of the trolls. Fighting these huge trolls were actually easy, they fought like lumbering oxen, not much of a real fight. But as I looked around I realized perhaps the numbers would overwhelm us.

Maybe I should of talked to King Arthur about war strategies rather than just charging into a war.

I didn't realize that I was walking backwards until I bumped into someone.

"Oh, hey love." Douxie said.

"Look." I said pointing into the sky.

He glanced up in the sky where I saw a shadow portal, except I knew it wasn't Claire because it had a gold accent on the rim. Oh gods, it was Morgana, that bitch.

She ascended so gracefully that I swear Hera would have been proud.

"Night has already fallen. Elemen-zath!" she cried.

A golden wave of magic swept out and the horses whinnied nervously.

"Morgana's returned! She's enemy number one!" Douxie said.

"Go!" Jim shouted, " We'll hold the bridge!"

"Hisirdoux, with me!" then after a pause when Merlin realized that Douxie didn't really intend to leave me and I had no intention of leaving him either, "And the demigod. If she wants to come."

He didn't need to tell me twice. We raced into the forest, Archie not too far behind, dry branches crunching underneath my foot. Already I could feel Morgana's dark magic, unlike Claire's even though they shared the same element. I held my blades upside down and slightly parallel to the ground.

"I feel dark magic." Douxie stated.

"It means she's close." Merlin said.

We stopped in a clearing with stone arches and skulls. Humidity hung over the forest as the sky darkened.

The anticipation was killing me until at last I heard Morgana chuckle.

"An old man, a foolish boy, and a heartbroken girl, lost as always."

We stood back to back fearing the worst when Morgana showed herself, picking a dramatic entrance like always. She stood on top of a stone with golden wisps of magic clouding her.

"Do you dare run... or face my vengeance?"

"Um, is there a third option?" Archie asked nervously.

Gnarly green hands, vines reached out and latched onto us.

I yelped in surprise as they held down all three of us, and eventually caught the flying cat. I struggled uselessly, I tried to control the water in the vines but there was none. These vines were only alive by magic. Instead I dug my feet into the turf and with a burst of strength broke myself free.
