"Pass me the wine, James" I spat out at him a little to harshly. James still kindly poured me a glass full, not hesitating to fill it. Just what I needed to energize myself. As I look around the bar, seemingly empty, I get up and walk to the entrance of the bar. Looking outside checking to see if it was safe. Knowing that the outside was perfectly safe, I said "See ya, James." He did not reply, as usual. I walked out the bar, going towards my destination, my house. As soon as I walked about 6 blocks away from the bar. I fell into a hole. The hole made of concrete, trying to grab the edges I yelled, "HELP!" James came running out of the bar putting his hand over my mouth shushing me. "If the guardians hear you they will execute you." The concrete of the hole was ripping apart making me fall into the deep dark hole. James then jumped down with me and released his wings saving me upon my fall. "Whoa, h.... how do you have wings?" "I'll explain later," James simply replied. His wings beat faster, making the air rush around and whip my hair back and forth. He took me higher up as I clutched on for life, still confused with my jaw dropped to the floor.
"Oh no, a guardian is coming.." whispered James. James grabbed my hand and ran. Dragging me on the floor he started to flap his wings and fly across the forest. The guardians caught an eye on us, and shot us. The bullet was aiming right for me. "Bonum Scutum!" James howled furiously, but attractive. A shield came upon us and reflected the bullet back onto the guardian, but the guardian swiftly dodged it. The guardian seemed to observe us from far away, him knowing that James has magic; he began to start say words that I couldn't understand. "Malum Curabitur!" yelled the guardian. Suddenly many arrows were summoned upon his phrase aiming at both us James and me. James shouted back "Bonum Et Clypeum," and a gilded gold shield formed around the both of us, deflecting and snapping each arrow. The battle went on for a while, making me fatigued of holding on to James back. Eventually, James had enough energy to pull off an amazing move that demolished the guardian. "Impetum Scuta Aurea De Malo!" forced James, as a huge shield formed and impaled the guardian. The guardians body blood stained the grass. The body then magically disappeared out of nowhere, amazing me. James panted roughly, his chest rising and falling with each breath. I looked up at the twinkling sky, the stars shining confidently. I kept my gaze on it as I felt my arms ship from James' shirt, the ground surging towards me. I uttered a piercing scream, signaling James to help me. Luckily, no guardians heard me making it a composed night.
James swiftly flew down to grab me by my arms to place me down on the ground. I asked him to help me get home. He accepted. He walked with me guiding me towards my home. It was a peaceful night, I teetered back and forth, shifting my weight from one foot to the other. I bit my lip nervously, unclasping my hands. I distanced myself closer to James, slipping a hand into his. I intertwined my fingers with his.
James POV ~
A warm hand tangles with mine, and out of the corner of my eye I could see that it was Alex's. I was confused, but went along with it and gave a gentle squeeze. It was a friendly gesture, to make sure she was safe. As we walked down the trail to her home, I said my goodbyes in gestures. I didn't really leave, I released my wings and flew to a tree nearby her house and slept. I woke up and heard a scream coming from Alex's house, I soon fell down to the ground and ran inside her house ramming the door down.
