"There's a boy," Isis says out of the blue. She stands in the doorway of Druig's room on the Domo.

"A boy? You're in love?" he jokes. He doesn't look her way just yet; instead, he absentmindedly rearranges the trinkets on his shelf.

"No, Druig." She walks with urgency to his side and takes ahold of his arm. "There's a boy that I met in town. His skin is covered in bruises and scars."

Slowly, he puts down the object in his hand and turns to face her. "What do you mean?"

"He wouldn't say anything about it, but as I was speaking with him, his father came and took him away. I think it's him, the father, who's hurting the boy."

Druig's eyes drop.

"I can't protect him, but I think you can. Will you?" Her eyes are glossy with fear. "He's just a child, Druig."

"Don't worry, Isis. I will take care of it," he says calmly. "Show me where to find him."

She takes him down the walkways of the settlement, and the people clear a path for the Eternals as they go.

"There," she nods in the direction of a boy standing with a terribly brooding man.

Druig's entire being stiffens at the way the man hustles the boy around by the back of his bruised neck. Druig is sorely reminded of the violence he had witnessed some years ago, so he doesn't let another moment pass. His eyes glow with intensity and across the way, the man's eyes glow the same. Immediately, he releases the boy's neck from his grasp, and the boy looks over his shoulders at his father. The father kneels down to meet the boy eye-to-eye. As he does, the crowd in town picks up, and Isis loses her sight of the two. She stands on her toes and cranes her neck, but Druig gently places his hand on her shoulder.

"It's okay," he says quietly to her. "That boy will have a father now."

"Thank you," she exhales in relief. She doesn't know what else to do except lean her head into his chest. His arms reach around her, and he graciously takes the weight off of her shoulders.

When she pulls away, he comments: "You know that we aren't supposed to interfere with human conflicts."

"I won't tell if you don't tell," she whispers.

"Deal," he whispers back.

She tilts her chin up as she looks to him with a small but earnest smile. He tilts his chin up and smiles back the same.
